(A Guide to the Retribution/Reformation System)

Hey there, folks, and thanks for coming this far and bothering to read this. You may have noticed the presence of bracketed words on the two responses available for the previous question, and you may be wondering; what's this Retribution and Reformation stuff all about?

Well, The Second One's Retribution/Reformation System(TM) is an attempt at creating a moral choice system akin to those in Mass Effect or INfamous in the world of (insert game name here).

Essentially, every so often you will be given the option of taking a vengeful course of action (Rerribution) or a merciful one (Reformation). However, as the name would suggest, these also have deeper meanings.

The Retribution path is one of total dominance, of world-conquering and nation-subjugating **** wreaked across the world. Here you will find the darker, the more brutal and the more cruel options in both sex and the world in general. Recommended for the more dominant/cruel adventurers.

The Reformation path, on the other hand, is one of a more congenial nature. Forging a peace between monsters and heroes and spitting the demands of your creator in an attempt to end hostilities. As the lighter path, this is where you will find happier themes and more romantic content. Recommended for people seeking a more light-hearted, loving relationships and more noblebright themes in the story.

Of course, not all options will be Retribution/Reformation. Some will remain basic choices. There's no concealed system keeping track of all your choices, CHYOA has nothing of the sort. Therefore, only choices of importance in character development/overall narrative will be given the Retribution/Reformation tags.
