Chapter 6 by Rowenar Rowenar

How helpful is the woman?

Not very

"There's a blanket in the van," the woman said. "And if you need any medical help-"

"Just the blanket," Elektra said.

Physically she seemed to be fine. There was just the not-minor problem of her nudity.

She was not used to being embarrassed. She found herself squirming far more than she would normally have allowed herself, feeling the woman's gaze on her exposed skin.

"Come up here," the woman said. "I can help you over to it."

Up?! Elektra swallowed, but otherwise managed to hide her reaction.

"Is that... necessary?" Elektra said.

"Bringing it over might just ruin it," the woman said. "And throwing it down will just make it harder for you to get out. Just be strong."

She did not need that patronising tone. Elektra shifted, hips brushing against her tits. Damn it.

The woman knelt down, offering a hand, as though Elektra needed it. Elektra instead stood, turned, and did the same short running jump she'd done before; she grabbed onto the rubble just beside the woman.

It was only a little harder thanks to how her hands shook, now that someone had watched her exposure. She pulled herself up, tits pressing against the rubble as she leant forwards, momentarily inelegant as she threw her ass up and rolled sideways.

Still, she quickly moved into a seated position, unable to do much more beyond hope the woman hadn't stared too much.

She'd left her sai below. She wasn't going to be able to sneak it up, and honestly she wasn't sure she wanted it. Not now. And if it came to the worst, she was an adept fighter unarmed as well.

Fuck. And this wasn't it; she was sat naked in the middle of the city, and she still had a way to go.

If she looked around, she could see presumably the van that the woman had referred to. It didn't look like an ambulance, but maybe it was just a civilian responding quickly. And it was... quite some way away.

"Can you walk?" the woman said.

Could she wasn't the problem; making herself do so was.

Elektra did her best to ignore the heat in her cheeks as she stood up, easily staying on her feet. Her boots at least offered some protection.

She kept her arms crossed.

She remembered back when she'd first met Matthew, the college, screaming college girls that had just gone skinny dipping in the fountain and were running away laughing, trying to cover themselves with their arms.

She'd turned her nose up at them then, and now- Now she could understand the urge, but she was not going to act like one of them.

Instead she just kept her arms crossed, hoping for what dignity she could have when she felt the air against her bare pussy.

She started to hurry towards the van, rather **** for cover, when-

"Elektra!" the woman shouted. "Stop! Not all the rubble's secure. Take it slow if you want to make it there."

Elektra faltered. Slow and stark naked, that was not the most appealing thought. She hesitated where she was, adjusting her footing as the woman came closer to her.

She shifted, wishing there was some remotely possible position where she could hide her ass.

She started to cross the debris field painfully slowly, hyperaware both from her training and from shame of the fact that the woman was not the only person combing the debris. She did her best not to focus on them, though years of practise made it impossible not to.

How many people were watching her naked progress? She swallowed.

And considered. She was a bit out of it from her likely-resurrection, but she wasn't stupid. The woman had known her name; she'd never said it.

These weren't first responders. That was probably obvious, the Hand had been busy in the building and if Matthew's group had spotted something curious then others likely would have, especially in the aftermath, and especially if they knew of a superpowered showdown.

If she was to take a guess, then she'd say it was SHIELD. That would explain the van too; it seemed rather sturdier than a civilian's.

So they probably weren't just interested in providing medical care, especially if they knew her name. Then again her options were going with the woman into the cover of the van, or running and staying exposed to New York.

She took another unsteady step, cheeks burning from the exposure.

What does she choose?
