You caught up with Amanda a block down Central Park South.

“Babe! What happened?”

“He wanted me to put my parents farm up as collateral for bail.” She said “that’s been in my family for over a century and it’s all I have left of them.”

“A farm? You never mentioned that before.”

“Because it has too many unhappy memories but I was not going to put it up for sale to let him walk free to strike again or leave town… I told him the truth… I told him I’m gay and I’m leaving him… tomorrow morning I’m calling my lawyer. See if he can fast track the divorce… see what he can save me…”

“Let’s go back to my hotel.” You say. She nodded as she took your hand. You both walked back to the subway when you noticed Frank being loaded onto a police car.

He looked over at the two of you. He recognized you. Amanda smiled at him, turned, kissed you and then dropped to one knee “play along” she whispered.

“Suzy will you marry me?” She asked.

“Yes.” You yell “Yes Amanda I’ll marry you!”

She stands up and you kiss again as a screaming Frank has to be hit with a taser to get him to stop.

They load him up and drive off.

“That does not count as an answer to the original question.” You say “I’m still making up my mind.”
