"I don't know why we had to end up here," Douglas complained, turning off the moving van finally.
"She said as far away as possible," Faith responded.
"I think she meant the low country, not Alaska," Devonte said.
It was a rustic cabin, out in the wilderness. They were a couple of hours out from Anchorage, and the population was far more bear and moose than it was human. The three looked at the stark, beautiful, uninviting wilderness and thought how to make a functioning life, so far away from what they all knew.
