You turn him down, not really ready for what that might entail. You kiss him and then go on inside, unable to shut down thoughts about the night. You’d really hoped it could have been the next day. It would have been much less stressful if it was at your place without your roommate rather than at his with his roommate around.

“Wow, was it really that bad?” You’re greeted by the high-pitched sound of your roommate’s voice the second you are inside and have your shoes off.

You look at her, rather shocked by the question. It had been anything but bad. “No,” you muse with a sigh.

“Then what’s got your panties in a twist?”

Your eyes meet your roommate’s bright green eyes. You’d never really caught her gaze like this, but her eyes truly are a wonder. The gaze is intense and you’re not sure you can break it.

“Greg invited me back to his place and I turned him down. He said his roommate was going to be there, so it would have just been really weird.”

Your roommate shrugged as you settle down on the couch next to her. “It sure seems to me like you are regretting not going more than it would have been awkward to see his roommate.”

“Don’t you have some packing to do?” You ask rather dismissively.

She simply shrugged and smiled right back at you. “This is much more interesting than packing could ever be. Are you at least going to tell me how things went? I’d guess good if you’re regretting not going home with him.”

Your glare cuts sharper than you’ve really ever cut one before. “I’m not in the mood to talk about this.”

You get up and head to your room. All you want right now is to be alone. You wish that it’d been a day later and Greg would have been there with you. Having him laying beside you, cuddled up against you would have been heavenly. That sends your mind reeling into a whirlwind of thoughts.
