No Need For Yosho

Ryoko, thinking: Hmm. Washu probably has something about it in her computer, but who knows what kinda crazy crap i'd have to go through to ask her. Her lab is fulla booby-traps, and then to have to deal with her. shudder But if not her, who? No one else has been on Earth long enough to know about it except Tenchi....or Yosho!

Outside and up the long staircase, Yosho sat at a table.

Yosho: Hm....'Do not expect others to forgive your transgressions if you cannot forgive them yourself.' No, that's terrible. How about 'The reward of vigilance is safety, paranoia it's cost. The cost of no vigilance is being a fool.' Better, but need work.

Knock-knock.

Yosho: Yes, who is it?

Ryoko: It's Ryoko. Can i come in?

Yosho: Mm.

Ryoko opened the door and entered, closing it behind her. She took two knees in front of him. During her time on Earth, she had come to respect Yosho somewhat, enough to observe customs associated with talking formally to someone like him, anyway.

Ryoko: I have a question. I heard from Mihoshi about Valentine's Day. Do you know about it?

Yosho: Mm. It's a holiday on Earth.

Ryoko: I know that much. What do you do on that day?

Yosho: Well....i have not done anything in a long time.

Ryoko: Great...

Yosho: However. I recall Tenchi describing it when he was a child.

Ryoko: Yeah!? What'd he say!?

Yosho: He told me that the girls in his class gave him cards with terms of affection written on them, as well as candies.

Ryoko: What!? Someone's giving Tenchi things like that?! Where are they!?

Yosho: This was many years ago. I did say 'when Tenchi was a child'.

Ryoko: ....Oh, yeah.

Yosho: I take it you wish to be Tenchi's valentine?

Ryoko: Huh?

Yosho: When two people are a couple on Valentine's day, they are referred to as each other's valentines.

Ryoko: Oh! Yes, lord Yosho, that is what i want! Will you give your blessing!?

Yosho: chuckle A valentine does not require a blessing, in fact many are valentines against the wishes of their parents. But i have no objection.

Ryoko: Great! So....is that it? I just give Tenchi some cards and candy?

Yosho: Well....i suppose that is a bit too youthful for those of Tenchi's age, but it is a start.

Ryoko: So what do i do that he'd like now?

Yosho: Hmmmm.....i suppose you would try to get him to hold you in his arms...

Ryoko: ...yeah...?

Yosho: ....look deep into your eyes...

Ryoko: Yeah!?

Yosho: ....and get him to kiss you.

Ryoko: Kiss me!? YAHOO!!! Thanks a bunch, Yosho!! For a Jurai-royal guy, yer alright!!

She jumped up and passed through the door. Her cheering was audible for a long time, it was so loud.

Yosho: Hm. I wonder how much louder she'd have been if she'd let me continue on to things more...adult.
