No, you want to go back to your mentor

You take a closer look at Madeline. Despite being at least 12 years older than you, she is still very good looking. You know she wants this. You can see it in her eyes. It is not all about protecting her child. And this is probably what angers you the most. This woman may have no ill intentions, but she uses the caring for her own daughter as a scapegoat to flirt other people into some sexual adventure of her own.

You growl annoyed, put your hand on Madeline's chest and shove her out of your way. Madeline seems confused that her charm is not working but you don't care and just walk away.

“Hey … wait,” Madeline says with a mix of confusion and slight panic, “please stop! Clare was it, right? Please stop!”

“What in the name of the gods and devils is so hard for you to understand?” you ask a little more aggressive than you wanted to sound, “I am not interested in what you offer. Please leave me alone!”

“But … but I …,” Madeline stutters and tries to find the right words, “but what about … about my little girl? Are you going to report …”

“Stop with this bullshit!” you interrupt her angry, “your daughter is not a mage. She is smart and very skilled for her age … or at least her situation. But this does not make her a mage. You have nothing to fear and you know this. This is just a stupid excuse to get closer to strangers. And don't tell me this is not true!”

“Hey, I love my daughter,” Madeline replies hurt and you can see a tear running down her face, which makes you feel a little sad too, “Gina means the world to me. I … it is just … please don't tell anybody about this. I guess I was … just a little lonely. Since the tragic dead of my husband, no man has touched me. I … I have no idea what came over me. I didn't mean to insult you. You are probably already taken by a nice guy. Or not into girls at all. I was a fool. Please forgive me. This is not how I usually am.”

“And why are you like that now?” you ask and hide the fact that you are indeed into girls and not in a serious relationship to keep the rest of Madeline's pride intact, “you are still good looking, caring towards your daughter and grandfather and you don’t look that poor to me. I even think you are kind of smart. Despite you behavior of the last few minutes.”

“I … thank you … for the compliments,” Madeline mumbles sad, “to answer your question, I think my grandfather is the problem, even if it is not on purpose. He is a very respected man. Nobody wants to become a social outcast for messing with his little girl. So, it is either marrying me and taking care of Gina forever, or staying politely away from any flirting.”

“I see,” you reply and sigh, “I am sorry for your loss and your situation. I really am. But I am not interested and I need to go back to my mentor now. Don’t worry. I will keep you secret and I believe you will find love again. Sooner or later.”

You leave the sad woman behind and head to the tavern. However, you decide that you are not going to tell Tocar or anybody else about this. There is no reason in ruining Madeline's reputation or shaming her even more.
