Is Karen's ordeal over?

No, they need more information

Karen had taken a detour via her apartment to slip on some underwear to go with her replacement dress, and put on an old pair of shoes, before she and Foggy went back to the office. They called up Matt to go over Frank's answers.

While they waited, Foggy wrote an abridged version of a few key points in braille, so that Matt would have access to comparable resources to the two of them.

Still, it was quite a while before Matt made it back. Foggy gave an abridged version of the events at the prison, thankfully leaving out Karen's nudity, and mentioned putting in a call to get the rest of their notes sent back as soon as possible. Worst case scenario, they'd move for a mistrial.

And then it was back to reviewing the case. Frank's answers, the things he'd go along with... what little there was.

Matt made a few notes as they went through it. After what felt like hours of slogging through endless legal technicalities, finally they were done.

"It's a start," Matt said eventually. "He's... not cooperative, but it's something we can work with. Karen, I'll make a list of what you can ask him tomorrow-"

"What?!" Karen squeaked. "I thought this was..."

"It's not ideal, I'll admit," Matt said. "Normally we can talk directly with our clients, rather than going through someone else, but still. If they only let you take so much in I'll make it as concise as I can, but..."

"Not a good idea Matt," Foggy said.

Karen flushed; Matt turned to face her, as though he could somehow see the heat in her cheeks.

"They, um," she whimpered. "They wouldn't let me, um, bring my clothes in to the cell either. Said it was dangerous."

Matt paused; Karen flushed at the memory.

"Reyes?" Matt said, to Foggy.

"Reyes," Foggy confirmed.

There was another paused.

"We do need more from Castle," Matt said. "I'm sorry Karen. But... there may be something we can do."
