Did she see him?
No, thankfully
After a minute of heavy breathing to calm my insane heartbeat, I decided to risk a peek. In for a penny, in for a pound, right? I leaned over centimeter by centimeter until I could see most of the room, except for the chair Jessie had placed herself in. As the chair slowly came into view, it was empty. Uh-oh, I thought. But then, just a little further along I could see her, standing at a shelf and lazily touching all the trinkets and doodads. My god, her perfect bubble butt, barely contained by the her shorts, was outlined perfectly. After what felt like an hour but was probably just a few seconds she stopped and, with a grand look around the room, traced the path of her friend out the door.
Not really one to follow instructions, I concluded.
Realizing that the path was clear but probably not for long, I reached for the window frame and tried pushing upwards, inwards, and sideways. No movement. Would breaking the window alert anyone inside? I didn't want to risk it, so I reached once more to push the window to the side.
