ASHER: I really hope that you’ll reconsider. It’s an opportunity that can really benefit us both.

You feel your heartstrings tug a bit as you read the message. You really still are attracted to the guy and would like to get to know him. There’s something about him that makes you interested for the first time since your failed marriage. Plus, it’s not like you’re getting any younger.

You contemplate things for quite a while. You’re not really sure how to go about it. You just went through the process of forgetting about him and here he is trying to squirm his way back into your life all over again.

HARMONY: Now is really not a good time. Maybe we can meet in 2 weeks and I’ll have some more time.

Your whole body shakes as you wait for him to respond. You’re mixed on what you want to do. You so very badly would like for him to be in your life, but you also wish you could have just moved on and forgotten about him.

You watch as your phone shows that he is responding. Your whole body is buzzing in anticipation. Is he going to be back in your life, will you have a few weeks to figure out what to do, or will things tumble to an end.

ASHER: Sounds perfect. I will message you again in a couple of weeks to work out a meeting time.

Your heart flutters and you find yourself hoping that you’ll have a chance again. You’re a little disappointed you didn’t put your foot down, but you’re also happy it’s not completely over.
