No, cut to the next day

Hermione woke up exhausted on Wednesday morning. Between running between Ottery St Catchpole and the Burrow naked to having to crawl on her belly near Hogsmeade to avoid being seen to only getting into bed after one in the morning, she was absolutely exhausted.

It was only after she made it to the entrance hall to meet the Slytherins for breakfast that she realized that she had some dirt on her from the previous night. She peeked around the stairway that led to the dungeons, listening carefully. Not hearing any footsteps, she decided to try something. She waved her hand before speaking aloud, "Aguamenti!"

Cool, clean water emanating from her fingertip gave Hermione chills as it poured over her and onto the flagstone floor. In a matter of seconds, the dirt was washed away. After quickly using the hot air charm to dry her body off, she pointed her finger at the floor. "Evanesco!" The water she had spilled everywhere was now cleaned up, as was she. The only sign of her being out last night was the mark on her toe from where the Gnome had bitten her, but she might just be able to get some essence of dittany from the student store cupboards after breakfast, assuming the Slytherins didn't ask about it.

Eventually, the Slytherins came up out of the dungeons for breakfast and they ate in relative silence. Hermione noticed that Pansy was exhausted as well, likely from her meeting with Draco the previous night. As Pansy didn't bring it up, Hermione thought it best not to do so, either.

"So..." Hermione said, trying to ease the tension in the room. "Did you all finish your Easter homework?"

"What, did McGonagall ask you to keep an eye on us or something?" Millicent grumbled.

"Well, no," Hermione replied, quickly, regretting she had tried saying anything. "I just thought you might want some help, but... If you don't..."

"Actually, Granger," Pansy began, "I think that sounds lovely. We could use someone to practice defensive magic with for our homework. With three of us, we can't do it in pairs, but with you..."

"I- Well, I can help with that, yes..." Hermione stammered. This was either an opportunity for them to practice curses on her or they were fishing for information. She had to be very careful.

"Good. Meet us in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom an hour after we're finished eating," Pansy ordered.

Daphne turned to Pansy. "Can I practice with her?" She asked excitedly.

"No, I think you and Millicent should keep practicing together. I'd like some time with Granger for this," Pansy said before turning back to Hermione. "Just fetch your wand so we can try out some of these jinxes."

After finishing breakfast, the Slytherins left the great hall, leaving Hermione alone again. She was about to head up to Gryffindor Tower to grab her bag, a letter landed in the remains of her breakfast. She looked up to see the diminutive form of Pigwidgeon the owl flying out the open window. She recognized Ginny's writing at once and opened the letter.

Found Percy's old robes. It was lucky Fleur and her sister shoved them into a corner of his closet when they were staying here before Bill's wedding. Mum might have given them to Percy or donated them.
There's no easy way to mail them to you early, so I'll bring them with me when I come back to school the way we planned.

Hermione breathed a sigh of relief. Aside from any singed robes that she might be able to take from the room of requirement once she left school, she would be able to follow the Hogwarts uniform. Percy may be taller than her, but she did know how to modify robes by hand, at least. And it would be easier to shorten the robes than to extend them...
