You think for a moment if you should say something. But in the end, you decide against it. Nadja is kind of strange and you are not sure about any of her actions. It is better to just go with the flow. In worst case, she would consider you a jerk or a pervert for mentioning her tits. After a while, Nadja lets you go and looks at you smiling.

“So … how do we proceed now?” she asks a little unsure, “do you have any work for me right now? And what are my working hours? Do I have to work late or on weekends? It is fine if I have to, but I need to know first.”

“I need to research some things,” you answer thoughtfully, “I need to decide your salary and how long I want to open this office. And I need to buy furniture, equipment and medicine. This will take some time and effort. How about you come back sometime during the next week to sign the contract and start working here at the beginning of the next month. “I have a better Idea,” Nadja offers smiling, “a know a lot of people in the area. I can make some calls and do some advertisement. I come back tomorrow. And then we do all the things you mentioned together. And Eve can help us with the contract. Her parents are lawyers after all.”

“Are you sure?” you ask unsure, “I can’t pay you until the official start of your work here.”

“Hey, I need this office working too,” Nadja replies and crosses her arms, “if you go bankrupt, I would still have no work like before. So yes, I am sure I want to start working for your right now even if I get not paid for it.”

“Alright, if it is what you want,” you mumble not fully convinced, “but don’t blame me afterwards. Well, if you don’t mind, I still have some planning to do.”

“Of course,” Nadja answers immediately, “I … I guess I will go an tell my parents then. And my friends. When do we see each other tomorrow? Around eight?”

“Yes, I guess I will open the office at eight,” you agree, “I’m probably a little earlier. For people who feel sick on their way to work.”

“Great, I will be there,” Nadja says happy, “and again, thank you, Max. This means a lot to me.”

You nod smiling and watch her leave after a last short hug. At first you need a moment to take a deep breath. This has turned out much different than you hoped. You have an employee now. If this doesn’t work out, you will ruin not only your career but also hers. Lots of thoughts and worries run through your mind.
