Nightwing and Supergirl, part 9

Kara kept her gaze away from him for the moment, but she keeps her position as the water hits her back. She had expected Dick to make conversation too, but he keeps quiet. This might of been more awkward for him then she had realized.

Finally, she turns her head and looks at Dick. She isn’t surprised to see him staring, though his eyes stay on her for a bit longer than just a glance. She turns back around to face the wall once more when Dick turns back around.

They both remain silent, the only sound in the room is the showers. The silence is deafening. Silently, Kara finishes up what she needed to do. She turns the knob on the shower, and turns it off.

For a brief moment, Kara stands there letting the water drip off of her, still facing the wall. She takes a deep breath, then looks over her shoulder. “When you finish...meet me in my room” she says. She crouches down at the knees, a very conscious decision, and she gathers her cleaning products, “if you want to, anyway.”

Kara doesn’t wait for an answer, she walks out of the door and dries herself off with her towel, and then wraps it around her. She arrives in her room moments later. When she arrives back in her room, she removes her wet towel and puts it in a clothes bin, then she puts a bathrobe on over her mostly dry body. She ties the belt then she walks over to her bed, and sits down.

The door to her room is unlocked.
