The people of the cabin have a great dinner, and later, they break out the party games.

Nice, Normal Night

Chapter 26 by PhoenixAuthor PhoenixAuthor

After leaving his mother’s room, Zack found himself wanting to be alone, so he headed down to the pier.

Nobody seemed to be in the living room, fortunately, so Zack didn’t have to talk to anybody. He’d just had a conversation with his mother about how hot they found each other, so he DEFINITELY needed some time to think and not have to act normal.

Because Zack didn’t feel normal.

He walked to the end of the pier and sag down, letting his legs dangle as he contemplated.

Obviously, getting the chance to be with his mother sexually was like a sex dream come true. On the surface, that sounds great. But the more Zack thought about it, the more destructive it seemed. Not only would Monica be cheating on Greg, but their relationship would be completely and entirely changed. Forever.

Zack knew himself, and he knew that whenever he saw his mother, he’d see her naked and him fucking her. And God forbid Monica got pregnant. They’d have an incestuous child.

So many things could go wrong. Their family could be split apart. A funny thought popped up in Zack’s head: ‘At least I know which parent I’m going with in the divorce’. But that wasn’t exactly a joke. His parents’ marriage really could fracture if they were discovered.

Zack wasn’t sure how much thought his mother had put into this, but if she didn’t want to have sex with him, she wouldn’t have followed him and Heather into the woods. He could maybe forgive her catching him fucking Chloe as an accident, but Heather, wow. His mother had gone out of her way to finger herself to the sight of her son fucking his girlfriend.

Zack heard footsteps on the pier behind him, and he glanced over his shoulder to see Logan walking towards him.

“Escaping your girlfriends?” Logan asked dryly.

“Something like that.” Zack nodded. Logan sat down beside Zack, and glanced at him.

“You seem to be doing alright. You’re much less shy than when we last saw each other.” Logan shrugged.

“Yeah. Before I started dating them, Heather and Ashley pretty much bullied me into getting some more confidence.” Zack chuckled.

“That sounds like my cousin.” Logan agreed.

“Wow, do you remember those days before you moved away? We were like, what, seven? Just a bunch of kids playing in somebody’s yard.” Zack said in amazement.

“Yeah. I’m pretty sure Chloe was crushing on you back then.” Logan chuckled.

“What? No way. She told me it’s only been a few years since she developed her crush on me.” Zack shook his head.

“Please. She probably just didn’t want to sound like someone who’s been madly in love with someone their whole life.” Logan shrugged.

“Yeah. So, do you have any girlfriends or anything? I thought for sure you’d be the one to have multiple girls between the two of us.” Zack grinned.

“You’re telling me, man. I mean, I could walk up to any girl back in my hometown and ask them out, and they’d say yes. They’d barely hesitate.” Logan said.

“Ravers charisma. Heather’s got it too.” Zack added helpfully. His friend snorted.

“Sure. Ravers charisma. But it just takes all the fun out of it. Which is why I like to set myself harder goals sometimes.” Logan shrugged.

“Like... breaking up couples?” Zack asked warily.

“What? No! What kind of a douche do you think I am? No, I meant older women. Why did you think I meant people already in a relationship?” Logan threw up his hands.

“I don’t know!” Zack shrugged. The two boys burst out laughing.

“So. Older women, huh?” Zack asked after a minute or so of them laughing.

“Yeah. College girls, that sort of thing.” Logan nodded.

“Like my sister.” Zack mused.

“Nah, I would never touch Taylor. Bro code. But Hannah? Oof.” Logan said, and Zack nodded in agreement.

“Hey, you’ve already got a Woodsen sister. You can’t have both.” Logan frowned.

Zack chuckled.

“Please. Hannah would walk all over me. I’m secure enough to accept that.” Zack said. Logan chuckled.

“Glad to hear that. I’d like to think I’ve got a chance, though.” Logan said proudly.

“Go for it, then.” Zack suggested.

“Says the guy who spent months pining over Victoria Walker.” Logan said dryly.

“And I got her, didn’t I?” Zack grinned. Logan laughed.

“I think I like this new confident version of you. I might have to send Heather and Ashley thank you cards for making my friend less of a wuss.” Logan said jokingly.

“Haha.” Zack chuckled. Logan stood up, and offered Zack a hand. He took it, and was hauled to his feet.

“Let’s head inside. Uncle Robert was saying something about starting dinner right before I came out here.” Logan said, and the two boys walked back towards the cabin.

———

Taylor Bishop came down the steps beside her best friend, Hannah, who was trying to decide on what drinking game to play tonight.

“I’m afraid there will be no drinking games tonight.” Daniel Ravers said, approaching the two young women.

“Aw, let the girls have fun, Danny.” Daniel’s wife, Audrey, encouraged. Taylor knew that Hannah was going to capitalize on that in 3, 2, 1...

“Yeah, let the girls have fun, Danny.” Hannah smirked. The blond seductress practically purred the last word, and poor Daniel looked flustered as Hannah sashayed away.

Taylor sometimes was awestruck at the power her friend wielded: the ability to make even happily married men consider breaking their vows. Daniel Ravers was neither the first or the last married man that Hannah attracted.

Hell, George Bishop had practically exploded in his pants when he met Hannah for the first time. He did have an excuse however, as his wife was deceased, making him single. Paris would just LOVE if Hannah was her new step-mom.

Speaking of Paris, Taylor spotted her cousin chatting with Chloe happily. Heather and Ashley were sitting on either side of Zack, and the former was whispering in Zack’s ear while the latter was looking worriedly at her mother.

Sarah Woodsen was sitting beside Charlotte McRose, and the two women were talking in hushed tones, and Sarah kept glancing at Zack while Charlotte kept glancing at Logan, who was playing chess with Grace Smith.

Julian and Pietra Smith were drinking wine, and a glance around the room informed Taylor that everybody above 20 had a drink in their hands, plus Kurt, who had Victoria sitting awfully close to him, while his aunt Brooke hung off his every word.

A selfish part of Taylor hoped that Kurt snatched Victoria away from Zack, just so that he’d have an empty slot for HER. But now wasn’t the time for any of that, so she shoved it aside.

In the kitchen, Taylor’s mother and Robert Ravers were chatting happily.

Hannah made a beeline for Pietra Smith, and Taylor sat down on an empty loveseat.

“Seat taken?” a familiar voice asked. Taylor looked up to see Daniel Ravers. His wife had headed into the kitchen to chat with Robert and Monica, it seemed. Sarah got up and headed in there, as well, and Helena Smith left her husband’s side to join Charlotte in that loveseat.

“Not at all.” Taylor smiled at Daniel, and the man sat down on the empty cushion. He took a sip of his beer, and then offered it to Taylor.

“Oh, no thanks. I’m not really a beer girl.” Taylor declined politely. Daniel shrugged.

“Suit yourself, then. So, Taylor, how’s school?” Daniel asked. Taylor turned to look at him as she spoke. He really was quite handsome, with dark hair and blue eyes. He almost reminded her of Zack, actually. Which made Robert his version of Logan, the showy but good guy who he stayed behind. Huh.

“Good! Pre-med’s pretty hard, but I want to be a doctor, and I’m more than willing to work for it. Uh, Hannah’s tearing up Green Hills, as can be expected, so most of my nights are spent making sure she’s not, well, you can imagine what Hannah Woodsen gets up to at college.” Taylor said. Daniel glanced at Hannah. Taylor did, too, and was surprised.

Logan Ravers was chatting with her, and she seemed to actually be enjoying the conversation. Hm.

“Zack!” Sarah called from the kitchen. Heather pouted a little as Zack climbed to his feet and headed into the kitchen.

“So, how are things in your life?” Taylor asked Daniel. He shrugged.

“As well as they can be. Audrey misses her friends back here.” Daniel confessed. Taylor nodded.

“Yeah, I couldn’t imagine leaving Hannah’s side, even though she’s super high maintenance.” Taylor said. Daniel nodded, and then he glanced sideways at her.

“What?” Taylor asked self-consciously. She had to admit, the older man’s gaze on her wasn’t entirely unwelcome, but she was confused as to what had caused him to look her up and down a few times.

“Nothing. You just... you look like your mother did when she was your age.” Daniel said.

“Ha. I wish.” Taylor shook her head. Her mom was beautiful, and Taylor would never be as beautiful as she was, that much she knew.

“I’m serious!” Daniel protested. Taylor laughed.

“Maybe you’re remembering wrong. Mom’s much prettier than I could ever be.” Taylor said, and her eyes flicked towards the kitchen door where her little brother was.

“I think you’re too hard on yourself, Taylor. You and her could pass as identical twins if you were the same age.” Daniel said.

“Thanks.” Taylor said in surprise, unsure of how to respond to that.

Fortunately, Audrey Ravers came out of the kitchen then, and Taylor gave the blond woman her seat. Taylor almost went towards Hannah, but then decided she didn’t want to ruin Logan’s chances with Hannah. He was holding her attention for an exuberant amount of time, however. Good for him. He was a little bit younger than Hannah, but he was a good guy.

Taylor entered the kitchen and saw that Zack was helping Sarah Woodsen make garlic bread, while Monica and Robert whipped up lots and lots of spaghetti.

“Spaghetti and garlic bread? Yum.” Taylor said.

“Thought you’d like it. Want some, Tay?” Zack asked, holding out a piece to Taylor. She took it gratefully, and bit into it.

“That’s good bread.” Taylor complimented.

“Thanks.” Sarah and Zack said simultaneously. Sarah gave Zack almost a... flirty smile and bumped her shoulder against his. He grinned at her, and the two went back to working beside one another.

Taylor’s heart sank. Not only was she competing against Heather’s big boobs, now Sarah freaking Woodsen was into her little brother? Who’s next, Brooke Lakefield?

Taylor left the kitchen before she could see anymore of whatever was happening between Zack and Sarah.

———

Ashley smiled at her boyfriend as he set down a big plate of garlic bread down on the table. Ashley’s mother came out with another one, and then Monica Bishop and Robert Ravers came in with two big pots full of spaghetti.

“Tomorrow, I’m just ordering some damn pizza.” Robert scowled. Everyone laughed. Ashley felt a little flicker of jealousy as Zack sat down by Chloe. Ashley didn’t have an empty seat beside her, technically, but Heather did, and Ashley just felt like Zack kept picking Chloe.

Ashley knew Zack well enough to know that she wouldn’t be neglected or ignored anything like that. He was a genuinely good guy. And not in the boring, straight-laced way either.

She still smiled whenever she thought about Zack skinny dipping in the lake during that truth or dare game. She’d never been more jealous of Victoria than when she’d gotten to hang out with naked Zack in the water.

Zack had now fucked both Chloe and Heather, and Ashley fully intended to be next. Unfortunately, Robert’s no room swapping announcement had screwed up her plan to swap out with Paris and have Zack fuck her silly, but she’d make it work.

“Hey, what about camping?” Sarah suggested. Ashley re-tuned into the conversation.

“What?” Taylor Bishop asked, and Ashley was glad someone else had asked her mom to repeat what she’d said.

“We should go camping. We can go in small groups so we keep that same core experience.” Sarah said.

“Mm. Zack, you can camp with me.” Heather winked across the table. Ashley laughed.

“I’m not either of your parents’, but I wouldn’t let you share a tent. Who’s interested in camping, by the way?” Sarah addressed the table. She raised her hand, and Zack and Brooke did as well.

“Ok, small crowd.” Sarah laughed.

“You love camping, Mom.” Taylor said in surprise to Monica. Monica glanced at Zack quickly before returning her gaze to her daughter.

“I... yeah, I do. Put me on the list, too.” Monica admitted.

“Alright, Mo. But really? No one else? It’d just be for a night or two.” Sarah frowned.

“Where would we go camping?” Brooke asked curiously.

“I was thinking Silver Hill, you know, the big hill not too far from here? It’s got super easy access to the lake.” Sarah said.

“When are we doing this camping trip?” Zack asked.

“Does tomorrow work for everyone?” Sarah asked, glancing around. Brooke and Monica nodded. Zack responded with a ‘yep’.

“Looks like Zacky’s getting a MILF camping trip.” Hannah joked. Kurt, who’d been silently eating his spaghetti, jerked his head up at the word ‘MILF’.

“Did someone say MILF?” he asked.

“No.” Robert grunted, and Kurt sighed. Victoria nudged his arm lightly, and Kurt gave her a warm smile. Oh no. Was Kurt trying to steal Victoria from Zack?

Ashley had to admit, Victoria was the smartest girl to go after. Chloe would never betray Zack in a million years. Ashley herself would DEFINITELY never do anything with Kurt, whether or not she was single. And of course, Heather was his cousin, and even Kurt respected those kinds of boundaries.

———

After everyone ate all their food, Hannah decided they should play some party games. Ashley sighed.
