Narrative Rules and Current status of the Story.

Story Current Status: In Revision/Editing.

There's been a lot of great work over the years on Quiet Streets, but as any project with multiple wonderful authors, differing visions have clashed and several fairly jarring inconsistencies have shown up in some of the threads. I intend to prune extremely lightly, primarily for spelling, typos, and random nitpicks, but the story does need some work in certain areas. For the most part, inconsistencies will be hand-waved if possible, and rewritten if there is no other options.

If you are an author who objects to this revision of your work, feel free to message me or post your concerns on the forums, which I will do my absolute best to address in a timely manner.

Narrative Rules:

The overwhelming narrative for this story involves ****. However, **** cruelty/savagery towards victims, while it does occur, is best presented off screen. We know that the many of the Crazies are sick and twisted, and while the threat of them makes a great motivation, any truly heinous acts should be alluded to or occur off stage. Injuries can and do occur, but no graphically detailed disembowelments.

No ****. Full Stop. If you are wondering if it pushes the line too far, it does. SF style monsters are acceptable, but a German Shepard is NOT.

No Underage Sex. While children can be included, especially in any storyline that goes on for more than a few months, NO underage sex.

Finally, no story arc that begins outside the mall will be approved. If you REALLY want to tell a story about the months before the game start, please do it in a flashback, as there are plenty of narrative points at which the main character has time to reflect.
