Soon after, Richard was found but dead and a note that said, "Nobody will get to me."

Nancy and Syd realized Richard wasn't the one in charge after all. But they were safe now and Nancy went home to tell her family she was okay and so was Syd as it was all a set up and trick. Everyone was glad and hugged and spent the night together.
