My First Target

Using the jungle to my advantage, I position my avatar in the fox-kin’s path and wait. As she approaches, I begin to salivate thinking about all the possibilities I have with her. I get so caught up in my lascivious thoughts that she nearly passes me by before I snap out of it. Just as she begins taking a step I use a vine to knock her prone, all mine for the taking. Sadly, she falls in a way that makes her **** upon impact with the forest floor, so I won’t be able to have my fun with her yet. After all, her first time with me should be very special.

Taking a closer look at her body, I notice just how malnourished she is. Standing at only 5 feet tall and barely 100 pounds, I can see the faint outline of her rib cage as she breathes out. Her skin is covered in scrapes and bruises, and her clothing is made up of rags that barely cover her modesty. This means she is likely an orphan, a perfect target. After all, she’ll inevitably desire someone who loves her, and who will look for her in a dense jungle if nobody cares about her. I delicately tie her up and position her in a way where she won’t be able to hurt herself when she wakes up, then I go hunting.

From what little information I got, the power creep in this world is something else. While I should be able to hide for now, that wasn’t part of the deal I made, nor is it the most enjoyable path for me to take. For now, my goal is to increase my strength as quickly as possible.

The main danger of the jungle I spawned in comes from the dense foliage making it easy to get lost and starve to ****. Much of the fauna here is herbivorous as well making this a prime hunting ground for me. I quickly stumble upon a pack of four deer munching away without a care in the world. Allocating my mass to shoot venomous thorns from my back, I watch as my prey slowly fall into a slumber they’ll never wake from. Satisfied with my hunt, I create vines to drag the still-living deer back towards my bulb so I can eat them while watching the girl.

Right, RPG mechanics. Since I didn’t use any of my magic, it makes sense all my EXP went to my race instead of my class. I’ll need to remember that. I wonder if my Verdure race means I gain EXP for it passively as I’ve read happens sometimes. Generally, the effectiveness of such a boost tapers off with growth, but it would still make a massive difference in the long term. Then again, is it fun being super overpowered? Life gets dull when you have nothing to challenge you, and even I can only find so much pleasure in the flesh.

After spending an hour turning the deer into fertilizer, I sense tremors coming from the vines holding my captive. She opens her eyes and looks at both me and her bindings, panicking when she realizes she won’t be able to escape my clutches. After a brief struggle she decides to go limp, likely having resigned herself to her grim fate. Little does she know that I don’t plan to eat her, at least not in the traditional sense.
