Chapter 8

Who stopped Mai?

Mrs. Johnson, an old lady neighbour

Mai looked into the house next door, finding Mrs. Johnson, an elderly woman who lived next door to her house. Mai smiled forcefully and greeted the old lady.

—Hi, Mrs. Johnson.

—Mai, dear, how are you?

—I'm fine, Mrs. Johnson.

—Are you bussy?

—A little, why?

—Oh, because I need help to carry the shopping bags. Can you help me?

—Etto...

—Please. I can't do it alone, and some bags are too heavy for me. If you want, I can give you some cookies when you finish.

The last thing that Mai wanted was to eat something while she has diarrhea.

Mai didn't want to be rude to Mrs. Johnson, as she had always been very kind to her, and she would feel bad if she didn't help her. However, her urgent need was going to be a serious problem if she did not hurry.

What does Mai?
