More questions then answers

”I realized I that I have a friend that could actually be of help. Someone who has dealt with things like this more than any of us. And she is not far away” Madeline said turning her head, taking the hand wrapped around Fredic to caress his cheek.

”Is it someone you trust?” He said finding it hard to believe that some one would so conveniently show up now.

“I only have reasons to trust them, I spoke to them on the phone, they have a mansion off on the countryside, way off the beaten path. It should be a good a place as any to lay low.” She followed up while staring off above Fredric looking contemplative, something clearly bothering her slightly.

“If you trust them I do too, but what are they asking in return? This is a not a small thing to ask, it’s not like we are just visiting. Thugs could come up any time to harm them and us if they find us there.” He could not help but to sound melancholic.

“They said that we should still buy all those tickets and make some fake passports in our name for others to use. They offered some of their people to take a vacation with them just to throw whoever is perusing us off the trail. That and we work for them while there.” She said with rehearsed certainty.

Fredric made a humored scoff.

“Work? They sound like they have life figured out living in a mansion with people to go off with our passports, what could we possibly do for them?”

“They said while they recently moved out would not mind the company of someone who has not been their employee, I for example will do what I did before and be their personal trainer!” Madeline said with contagious smile.

“Okay, fine. What about me?” Fredric could not help but have his worry disarmed by the smile.

“Ah, yeah, they said they needed some time to think on that, but would let us know once we are there.”

A silence ensued, Fredric was not sure how to respond to that, he was hoping he would at least get to know what he was to do.

“And who are they? Do we have a reason to worry about the app?” Those question caused her to pause before responding.

“They said that we would get introduced once there, speaking of who they were before that would only risk our safety later. I didn’t talk about the app obviously, but it is only them there, if they become a problem I’ll handle it.” She said trying to punctuate the last sentence by squeezing him closer to her reassuringly.

“We are on an Island in the archipelago, you already laid out the plans. Besides the fish I never caught, who in hell will hear their name? Fredric tried to pry with a sneering smile.

“The water can carry sound far and trust me, lets just leave it at that. You trust me don’t you?” she said locking her eyes with his. She squeezed him to her side, this time though it only became less and less reassuring. “Right?” She followed up expecting a response.
