Modification!

Brad rubbed his arm gingerly. "So is our 'thing' gonna be you punching me?"

D grinned as she rifled through the script wallet. "Well, blowing you would take too long. Here you go!"

Brad noticed that she shielded her eyes as she passed the wallet to him. He pretended he hadn't seen it and examined the wallet.

She had opened a small interior pocket to reveal a set of small square scripts about the size of a quarter each. Brad sifted through them; he saw Drunk, High, In Love, and Emotionless among others. He looked up at her incredulously.

"So these scripts can go with your current script?" Brad asked.

D nodded, still looking away. "Can you close the fucking case, dude? We don't inselfbecome these like the other scripts, we just internalize the instructions the moment we read them. If you toss a bunch of those in the air, I might become a drunk, hallucinating, colorblind cowboy with face blindness and a foot fetish."

Brad looked at the wallet and raised an eyebrow. D scoffed. "Oh, come on, dude. Here, let me at least show you how to reset me after you modify me into a goat or something. You just two-finger tap the old noggin and say PA'AL." She demonstrated by knocking on his head lightly with her middle finger.

Brad scowled and peered into the wallet.
