Modern Fashion

Chapter 3 by AnotherAnt AnotherAnt

Though she wouldn't necessarily call herself a historian, Aloy could be considered an expert on the old world, based purely on the amount of ruins she's explored and files she's collected.

Everything, from fictional stories, to real life accounts, to old world advertisements-- So, SO many advertisements. The old world had been one of many contradictions, with decency being one of the most prominent.

A society obsessed with sex, breeding and lust, and at the same time, seemingly terrified of the human form. The amount of "fashion" advertisements were staggering. Tops, bottoms, flowing gowns-- Even small, thin garments, designed to be worn UNDER everything else!

Skin seemed to be a source of shame, worthy of shunning and legal punishment. Of all the old world customs, this might've made the least sense to Aloy.

In this modern era, dominated by machines, these things were far more optional. Cloth and metals were used to hide certain areas, or accentuate others for aesthetic purposes! But it was rare to see someone fully covered, even in harsher climates.

Some warriors did use machine parts for armor-- An idea that Aloy could see value in, especially when fighting said machines. But she couldn't imagine... Running, or sneaking up on an enemy with so much weight!

Hence why she preferred to be completely nude. In the wilds, or in the cities, Aloy walked around with nothing but her weapons and Focus. And... Maybe some body paint, if she was feeling decorative, though it rarely hid any of her sexual areas.

It brought her attention, of course. A stranger with fiery red hair, both on her head and between her legs, showcasing everything so freely. Sex was also somewhat free in this world, after all! Not that Aloy was social enough to partake... Usually.

So the question is... Where do we find Aloy now, in this world of casual exhibitionism?
