Miss Render

Carter wipes his brow when he realizes that the escapee is by far the most dangerous of the lot. Rewinding the tape, he takes a look at exactly how she caused the explosion. There she was, pacing her cell like a wild animal as always, frequently shapeshifting her fingers into jagged bone claws and stabbing them at her shadow while cussing nonstop in Irish slurs. If she wasn't a psychopathic murderer who revels in genocide, Carter admits that she could be a bit cute with how her messy red hair and baggy clothing gave her a tomboyish look.

Suddenly, Render stopped in place and seemed to look directly at the camera with a sick grin, revealing razor-sharp fangs in her mouth. She opened up her maw to expose a long, three-foot-long tongue dripping with saliva and licked at the glass to write a message in her own drool: TIME TO HUNT! She reached at her stomach and tore her gut lining open to reveal a live grenade. She winked one last time, then the camera whited out.

Carter gulps as he stares at the smoldering remains of Render's cell. How Render even got the grenade was beyond him, but the nature of these prisoners made him remember that nothing was impossible for their twisted minds to accomplish. He tries to console himself by saying that even if she did reform, there would be no way to get out of the locked-down area.

However, he doesn't realize just how deep her regeneration gets. As the smoke from the explosion goes into the ventilation system, a tiny glob of red blood-like goo slithers off down a passage into a locker room where a female guard by the name of Mary Amstead was getting into her uniform. The goo runs out of the vent and leaps down into Mary's boot while her back is turned. When she puts her foot into the boot, she feels a powerful sharp spike run through her and she screams in pain, unaware that Miss Render has already slipped into the wound she had made. Soon, Mary's entire body is rapidly infested with Render's mutant cells and her kindly expression turns into psychotic hate. The teeth in her mouth grows into fangs as she anticipates becoming the first successful escapee from Pacific Undersea... following the total mass-**** of all security personnel. One down, 20 more to go.
