Max watched as Chris finished eating and got up to put his dishes in the sink. He envied his brother more than anything. He was 3 years younger than Max but far more successful, so His parents praised Chris constantly, like he could do no wrong. Chris also had a gorgeous college girlfriend named Grace, and their relationship was stronger than anything Max had ever had.

“I’m going up to my room to study.” He said to his mom

“Alright honey just take breaks if you need them.” She said as she cleaned the dishes.

Max followed his younger brother up the stairs and into his room. He sat in a chair by his desk and opened a textbook. Max walked over behind him and looked down. He was studying some advanced math Max could never understand. Suddenly Chris’s phone dinged as he got a message from Grace. Chris picked the phone up and Max read the messages over his shoulder.
