Melissa's dress gets stuck

The three of them continued to walk down the pathway as they tried to take in all the detail of the place. The more they walk, the more interesting the walkway got with its gargoyles, plants, etc... . It was definitely cool, but it also gave off an eerie vibe.

While Thomas was busy admiring a gargoyle, he felt someone tapping on his shoulder. He turned a saw that it was Jill, who was smiling mischievously. That made him feel nervous. Whenever she had that smile, it usually meant someone was going to be pranked. Last time she had that smile, their art teacher ended by soaked head to toe in paint. Right now there were only two people she could prank, and he really hoped she didn't go after him.

Jill noticed Thomas's discomfort and shook her head in response. She got closer towards him and handed him her iPhone.

"I need you to record Melissa," She whispered.

"Why?" Thomas whispered back.

" I want to jump-scare her, and I want it recorded so that we tease her about later. " Jill explained. She noticed that Thomas still looked uneasy and rolled her eyes. " Relax, I'm not going to prank you. I want to prank Melissa. She's acting like she is tough when it is so obvious that she is scared. I want you to record it so that we can all laugh about it later."

Thomas was still a bit skeptical, but he took Jill's phone and nodded to show her that he agreed with her plan. He turned towards Melissa, who was ahead of them cautiously examining a gargoyle that had a dangling vine in front of it and hit the record button. Jill got the camera's view and faced it. She made a shush gesture playfully before tip-toeing towards Melissa. Once she got behind her, Jill turned back towards the camera and indicated with her fingers a 3-2-1 count down. As soon as she counted one, Jill turned towards back Melissa.

"BOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Jill yelled as she suddenly tapped Melissa's shoulder.

"EEEERRRRRRGGGHH!!!!!" Melissa screamed in fear as she instinctually jumped forward while turning to face what was scaring her. This resulted in Melissa stumbling backward as she landed on her feet and ended up bumping into the vine and the gargoyle.

Thomas burst out laughing along with Jill at the sight of Melissa's reaction. He couldn't help himself. Melissa likes to portray herself as a tough adventurous girl. So it was funny seeing her being scared like that. He tried to keep his hands steady so the camera won't shake.

Melissa quickly realized what had just happened and was not pleased.

" Shut up! Stop laughing! It's not funny!" Melissa furiously said to her two laughing friends as walked forward and away from the gargoyle.

"Oh my God! That was perfect" Jill said between her laughs. " You should have seen your face, Miss I'm-not-scared. Don't worry. I'll show you and everyone else just how 'brave' you were."

"I wasn't scared. I was surprised. You surprised me," Melissa said indignantly. " And you better not show anyone that video.

"Oh come on, Mel. We were kidding around" Thomas replied once he stopped laughing. He then hit the pause button on the phone and handed it back to Jill.

"Yeah, it was just a prank. I recorded to so we can show Jack and Rachel and tease you about it later," Jill smiled as she grabbed her phone back. " You have to admit this was funny."

" It's not funny. " Melissa muttered as she blushed with embarrassment.

" Oh relax. Everyone gets scared sometimes. No shame in that," Jill rolled her eyes. She opened up her arms indicating a hug. "Come on. Give me a hug, you big softy."

Melissa looked skeptical first, before sighing in resignation and moving to give Jill a hug. But before she could reach Jill, Melissa felt some strong resistance and stopped. She attended to move again but couldn't She turned her head to look behind her and saw the problem.

" Uh guys, I'm stuck," Melissa said.

" What?" Thomas asked with Jill showing equal confusion.

"My dress is stuck to the vine. I can't move," Melissa said with worry.

Thomas went to see what had happened and realized that Melissa really was stuck. The dangling vine had some thorns and some sticky substance on it. When Melissa stumbled backward, her back hit the vine. Her dress was now stuck to the vine.

Jill came closer as well and notice the same thing.

" Wow, it is stuck to your dress. Huh," Jill said with some curiosity. Thomas can tell that she thought that this was funny as well. He, on the other hand, was kind of concerned for Melissa.

"What do we do?" Melissa asked her friends with a slight tone of distress.
