Chapter 23 by Raljo Raljo

What's next?

Meeting Selena

Billy stood awkwardly outside of Karen’s front door, a bag of boxing equipment slung over his shoulder, waiting for her to answer the doorbell. A few days had passed, and Karen had finally told him to come visit. So, after school, Billy texted his mom to say he’d be home late, and walked over to Karen’s.

Standing there now, he could see it was a large house. Karen clearly had money. The garden was well-maintained and picturesque, with trimmed bushes and bright flowers, but Billy had a feeling Karen hired people for all that. Maybe he was wrong, but it didn’t seem like her own handiwork. She seemed much more interested in appearances than labor.

The arrogant milf finally opened up the door, wearing a cocky smirk as she looked down at the athlete who had come running at her call. Beside her, tucked behind a wide hip, was the girl that Billy assumed was Selena. Karen’s daughter.

Karen led Billy inside and sat him in the living room, herself reclining in a comfortable-looking leather chair. The inside of the house had the same kind of expensive decor as the outside. Billy took a seat across from her cautiously, looking around the space while Karen leered at him smugly.

Rich, dark wood formed an ornate fireplace which roared with warmth. Portraits hung. The whole place looked out of a movie. Like something you might see in a castle. Karen really liked to feel like a Queen, didn’t she?

Selena stood awkwardly behind her mother’s chair, staring at Billy, but avoiding eye contact whenever he tried to get a read on her. Once Karen was comfortable, and filled-up on Billy’s own discomfort, she began to tell her daughter the plan.

“This is Billy,” she began, gesturing across the room at the athletic boy. Billy waved awkwardly.

I know,” Selena said quietly. Billy could barely hear her, and he wasn’t all that far away.

“Since the school is forcing you to join a sports club,” Karen said, with disgust and an eyeroll, “Billy here… Volunteered to teach you how to box. He’s supposed to be the best boxer in the school.”

Billy eyed Karen cautiously, taking the situation in like an animal looking for any detail or opportunity to escape. It seemed like she wasn’t telling Selena about that knockout at the seminar. Well, that was alright with him.

“He said that he’s going to teach you, and teach you, all the way until you’re good enough to knock him out.”

Selena blinked a few times, confused.

What’s a knockout?” she asked quietly, shuffling her feet.

Karen smirked. “Billy will explain.”

She gestured at him again. Finally, Selena found it in her to look him in the eyes, awaiting an explanation. Billy met her nervous gaze.

Billy didn’t really know that Selena existed before a few days ago, but since making the deal with Karen, he had decided to learn what he could about her. The quickest way to summarize it would be to say that Selena was a “weird girl”.

She was 19, like Billy, but yet he didn’t recognize her from school, even though they were in the same grade. She was blonde, like her mother, and actually rather pretty, but she didn’t have many friends. Or any social presence at all, really. Most likely due to Karen judging others her age as not being “good enough” for her daughter, from preschool all the way to now. The busty milf seemed like quite the helicopter mom.

Well. Selena’s “social presence” problem would sure be solved if she knocked out a boy. Let alone the school’s undefeated, unknockoutable champion, and claimed his belt for herself.

“Knockouts are when, ummm…” Billy tried to think of the right explanation. “It’s when you win a fight by putting your opponent to sleep. So… I’m going to train you until you can beat me.”

“Until I can make you sleep?” Selena gasped quietly.

Billy nodded, awkwardly, pursing his lips. Karen clapped her hands, and stood up.

“I see you’ve already brought the equipment you’ll need. Good boy,” she purred. “You should get right to it. Selena, if he causes any trouble or makes you feel uncomfortable, you just let mommy know.”

Selena nodded, quietly. And with that, Billy set down his shoulder-slung bag, unzipped it, and began setting up for the lesson.

It took a bit of time for Selena to come out of her shell, but not as long as Billy expected. By the time he was strapping her gloves on, she was already smiling more, and seemed happy to have someone to talk to. This house probably didn’t see many visitors.

The training began with some basic pad work, Billy offering advice and directions to Selena to get her started. Her form was, of course, terrible. Clearly this would take a few months of training, at least. That sounded alright to Billy, though.

As Billy was honing her right jab, Selena finally spoke up.

“So one day, I’m going to punch you… And you’ll fall asleep from it?” she asked, hitting the pads in his hands.

Billy nodded, awkwardly. Feeling the impact of her delicate, untrained female fist send gentle tremors up his arm. The punches were so weak. He wondered if it would one day be this hand, or her left, that made him go night-night? Which punch that he teaches her will be the one that loses him his belt? His record? His pride? Her strikes were so feeble now, but one day, this girl would do the unthinkable with them.

“Why are you training me to do that? Don’t you… Want to stay awake?” Selena paused, and pursed her lips, as if trying to build the courage to say something more. “Is it because you li… Is it because I’m… Do you… Lo…”

“Uhhh… Your mom… Asked me to,” was all the reply Billy could muster.

Selena nodded faintly. A small happy smile appeared on her face, and she stared at the ground. Billy wasn’t sure what she was thinking.

As the minutes went on, it turned out that Selena could actually be quite cheerful and energetic, if a bit spoiled. She may have been quiet and reserved at first, but she quickly warmed to him and became very excitable. Almost chatty. And Billy had to admit, she was growing on him. Even if some of her more bratty, entitled traits shone through at times.

“Could you go get me a drink? With ice.”

“No, I don’t want to practice that, let’s keep doing this.”

“Do you want to see my room?”

“What shows do you watch?”

“Wow! That looked so cool! Do it again! Again!”

Billy was able to lose some of his own tension, as he realized that Selena wasn’t just another Karen. And the parts of her that were came from social ignorance, not meanness. Selena really tried to listen to his advice well, even if it took a while for any of it to show actual results. Billy might have even enjoyed teaching her to box, if the eventual knockout he’d have to suffer wasn’t looming over his head. And looming it was. Constantly.

Billy demonstrated a 1-2 combination, then watched as Selena fumbled an attempt at it and nearly lost her footing. He repeated it slower, building her up, then tried to get her to pull it off at full speed. She wasn’t quite able to get it. Perhaps another day.

Karen came by and leaned on the wooden doorframe, smiling. Watching Billy teach her daughter, no doubt remembering how he looked when he was out cold. She acted so in control at all times. It pissed him off.

“Slick tricks, Billy!” Karen called out with a laugh. “Where were those the other day?”

Billy hated that this big-titted bitch had knocked him out. Hated it. He still held out hope that he might be able to steal her phone, or somehow delete the photos during one of these visits. But he had in many ways resigned himself to his fate with Selena, unless an opportunity presented itself. And he wanted to train her as best as he could. Because if he was going to do this, if he was really going to get knocked out by a girl, in front of everyone, he had to make it look good. He had to make her look like a legend, so that he didn’t look like a jobber.

It couldn’t be a real loaded glove knockout this time - not in front of coaches who might check for those, and boxers who would notice bad technique somehow taking out their champion. And so, he kept training her to box properly, trying to make her into something great.

Billy left the house after about two hours of training her, with only minimal progress. But it was only day one.

Selena seemed quite upset that he had to go. A bit of her bratty streak came through, as she tried to get him to just stay over in the guest bedroom on the verge of sudden tears, but luckily he was able to shut the idea down. If Karen had heard her little princess like that, she probably would’ve **** him to live with them indefinitely. It sure would’ve made Selena happy.

And so it continued like this. Billy visiting twice a week, teaching her, and then leaving. He kept looking out for a chance to get at Karen’s phone, but at least for the first few weeks, no chances arose. So he just kept on teaching her. Honing the fists that would one day put him to sleep and claim his belt.

Selena loved having him over. She loved having a mom-endorsed friend. A mom-endorsed boy! She loved coming home from school and having something to do other than sit on her own in her room. And she loved how strong and tough Billy was.

But most of all… She loved the idea of putting this strong, tough man out cold. She loved the idea that she would surpass him. Defeat him, against all odds. She hoped that then, when she was good enough to beat him, he would have **** but to stay with her for the rest of time. He was her first real friend and her first real boy all wrapped into one, which meant that even when he wasn’t there, she was thinking about him. Thinking about their potential future together. Developing her first real crush on the super-athlete who had flown down from his social pedestal specifically to train her, the weird girl.

He had to like her. Why else would be doing this? She might’ve been a bit socially unaware, but she’d sure read a lot of fanfictions, and this seemed right out of one. He loved her. They were probably going to have children together one day. But first, she had to train boxing until she could beat him in a fight.

“Knockout”. What a lovely word.
