Meeting Roomates and Family
After entering the dorm, we quickly find my room and step inside. To my surprise though, there are already two people milling around and unpacking suitcases.
"Oh, toothpaste! Did we remember — "
"Yes, Mom."
"Oh, okay. Sorry,"
The two strangers suddenly realize the door is open and turns to face me.
The boy is about my age, although you wouldn't know it from immediately looking at him. He's scrawnier than me and considerably shorter. He wears glasses that seem one size too big for him and he has a strange bowtie around his neck. This must be my roommate.
To his right, I see a middle-aged woman who seems older than her years would suggest. Her appearance is somewhat disheveled and her hair looks like it was done in a hurry. To be honest, I'm not sure if it's the stress of helping her son move in or if that's the way she always looks.
"Oh, you must be Jakey's roommate!" the woman exclaims with a smile. "Hi, I'm his mom. You can call me Linda or Ms. Hill, either one works!" Jake's mom leans forward and gives me a surprisingly deep hug. I take the chance to slowly run my hand over her round butt, just to see how she would react. I can tell she notices my advances, as her body tenses up, but she either plays it off or just ignores it.
Did she say Ms. Hill? Interesting.
"Mom, you're embarrasing me," Jake says with a sigh. He crosses his arms defensively and stares at me. It's clear he's unsure of how to perceive me. Will I be a threat or an ally? Honestly, I'm not sure of the answer to that just yet.
Before I can continue the conversation, my mom and dad barrel into the room with a few more bags. Almost instinctively, my mother and Ms. Hill reach in for a celebratory hug and introduce themselves. My father reaches in for a hug too, but his arms don't reach nearly as low as mine did. Although, it's obvious he tries.
My mother doesn't seem to notice, as she's too busy admiring the room. "Ah, this place brings back so many memories." There's some longing in my mother's voice.
"No one wants to hear about all the times you hooked up with random dudes, Mom," I reply with a small smile.
Normally, this kind of public humiliation would upset my parents, but my natural charisma wins them over. Soon everyone is laughing, including the Hills. My mother playfully slaps my shoulders.
"Okay, mister. Don't think you can get away with saying anything just yet. You're still our baby boy, even after you move out." she says with a mischievous grin. My father rolls his eyes in response.
"By the way, there's a gift shop down the street. I was thinking of visiting there before we leave," my mother says, eager to change thd subject.
"I would love to... but Jake and I still have a lot of unpacking to do." Ms. Hill replies.
"Go on without me, honey. I'm going to stay right here." My father yawns and stretches before collapsing on my, currently empty, bed.
My mother turns to me, wondering if I'll go with her. At this point, I'm inclined to agree. Yes, it'll mean I can't spend more time with Ms. Hill. But, I can't achieve my goals, whatever they may be, with my father and Jake in the room.
After mulling over my options, it's proabbly best to spend some quality time with my mother. I won't have many opportunities to once the weekend is over and my parents head back home.
"Sure, Mom. Let's go," I say. She immediately smiles at the thought of spending some quality time with her son.
"Alright, honey. We'll be back soon," she says, but her husband has already somehow fallen asleep. How does he do that?
When we step out of the building, I suddenly notice a few more of the mysterious light floating around in the sky. I see two green lights - a large dancing one and a small shy one, as well as a small blue one.
As interesting as it sounds to find out the difference between the two green lights, I feel a pull towards the shy blue one. As I absorb the blue orb, new words form in my head, echoing.
Rain
Rain
Rain
Before I can decipher what they mean, a car drives over a puddle and splashes my mother's dress with a comically large amount of water. Her white dress is now completely see-through.
"What just happened?!" she yells. Her embarrassment is palpable.
She seems to register my interested gaze in her exposed chest, as she hurriedly uses her arms to cover herself.
"I think — " I start to speak but she quickly shuts up me.
"I know what happened! Tell me honestly, how bad is it?" she asks, her eyes pleading for some good news.
"Really, it's not that bad," I lie to her.
She takes one last look at what remains of her dress. It's still soaking wet, and she can feel it cling to her skin, but if her own son says it's not that bad, then it must not be, right?
Taking my lead, she decides to tough it out on the way to the gift shop. Even though she's pretending like nothing's unusual, I still notice the way she uses her arms to cover herself, and the shame and arousal in her eyes at her son looking at her this way.
"Hopefully, I'll find something at the gift shop," she says.
While walking down the streets, my mother begins reminiscing about the places she remembers from her time here. Some of them still exist, but many are out of business and forgotten to time.
"I wonder if Karen feels the same way," she mumbles.
Karen is my mother's sister. She's only a few years older, but her personality couldn't be more different. Extremely uptight and controlling, Aunt Karen is - in all aspects of the word - a bitch.
"I'll have to ask her if we see her," my mother continues. I had forgotten Karen's kids also go to this university. Her oldest, Tom, is around the sams age as me and probably moving in this very moment.
After enjoying a leisurely walk, we find ourselves in front of the gift shop. Remarkably, I actually feel like I have more energy now than when we left.
Before we can step foot inside the gift shop, my mom suddenly stops and starts digging inside her purse.
"Oh, I almost forgot!" she says excitedly. Before I can ask her what she means, she takes out a hundred dollar bill and hands if to me.
"Here. It's from me and your dad. Spend it on whatever you want." She smiles before splitting off from me to look for bargains.
I look around the store, not finding anythinf worth spending money on. I see a cute girl working behind the counter, but she doesn't look like she's in the mood to deal with customers. I could try to start a conversation with her, or go check what my mom is up to.
What's wrong with doing both?
My mother - still wet from earlier - was quick to find a shirt that she could button over dress and make herself look a little more presentable. I see her scanning an aisle of products.
With her back turned to me, now is the peefect time for a little prank. I take a few minutes to stalk behind her, using the cover of the aisles to block myself from her vision.
Then - when the moment's right - I strike.
I quickly wrap my arms behind her. She barely has a chance to realize what's happening before I've started tickling her. Despite wearing a shirt, I manage to weasel my way against her fabric, and 'accidentally' pull her top down. I make sure to savor the few seconds I get to run my hands against her bare, naked flesh and exposed nipples.
It's almost troubling how confident I've gotten since interacting with my first light.
"Whoops, sorry Mom. Guess I don't know my own strength sometimes." I insincerely apologize.
My mom stands in a state of shock for a moment before she quickly rearranges her top and regains her composure. Despite the public humiliation, she seems far more worried with how I feel.
"It's okay, baby. I know how hard it is for boys." She lovingly strokes my arm and leans in to whisper into my ear, "And don't worry, I won't tell your father about this." The moment feels more sexual that she likely intended. As she turns to leave, I grab a handful of her ass, groping it lightly.
"I'm not afraid."
