Meet Julia

You have seen her lingering around Henri and the king. You ask her what that was about. He hates Henri, that is no secret, why would she speak to him? When you ask her about it she tells you:

Julia: You have quite keen eyes Lily! That is partly why I have chosen to become your friend and patron!

Lily: Partly?

Julia: Yes. I am in need of your help... You see, Henri is unpredictable as always. The king knows this, but he cares not about the man, but his ambitions might put us all in danger... I want to avoid that and try to save the lives that might be lost if a civil war broke out.

Lily: But how do I fit into any of this?

Julia: Let me be direct. Henri has stolen a key coronation jewel from the king yesterday night... It is the greatest diamond in all of Europe, a priceless treasure, called the Diamond of Discordia! He intends to use it to spread discontent among the people, that the king can't even keep his own jewels safe, so how could he protect his people. If he succeeds, many nobles might abandon the king after such a humiliation... I tried to find out if this information was true and the king verified it. Henri of course refused to listen to any king of a reason...

Lily: But what should I do exactly...?

Julia: Be creative Lily! I am sure you will find a way! You just have to distract Henri and get him out of the castle, while somebody searches his room and gets the diamond.

Lily: Oh my... What have I gotten myself into...

Julia: Do not worry, he would never hurt you! {if Befriended Henri = true} As a friend of his, you have a very good chance to buy us some time to find what we are looking for.{endif} I have already mentioned the plan to the king and he gave his consent.

Lily: You really have planned this in advance...

Julia: I prefer preparing everything in advance before making a move. I assume I can count on your help, can I not? I and the king would greatly be in your debt if you helped us out!
