What next?

Maya an exchange student comes to live with them

The Barbera household was abuzz with anticipation. Maya, an exchange student close in age to Paulette, was soon to arrive, and the family was eager to make her feel at home. Paulette's room, painted in soft hues of lavender and adorned with whimsical decorations, now boasted an additional crib, its bedding a symphony of pastel colors and plush toys.

As the family gathered in the living room, they put the finishing touches on a welcome basket for Maya. Granny carefully arranged an assortment of snacks, while Mommy penned a warm, handwritten note. Paulette, with a grin as bright as the sun, selected a fluffy teddy bear, declaring it the perfect companion for their new guest.

In Paulette's room, Daddy and Paulette worked together to ensure every detail was just right. The crib stood proudly, a sanctuary of comfort and security. They fluffed pillows, arranged blankets, and made sure the room exuded an air of warmth and welcome. The soft glow of fairy lights added a touch of magic to the space.

The family then gathered for a brief meeting in the cozy living room. Daddy spoke with gentle reassurance, reminding everyone of the importance of being themselves. "We want Maya to experience our genuine way of life," he said, "It's by being true to ourselves that we can help her understand and appreciate our choices."

With the preparations complete, the Barbera family anxiously awaited Maya's arrival.

Is Maya aware of the colonies special way of life?
