Max is finished talking.

Gibbons' brow rose, surprised by Max's response.

Max sighed and looked towards the exit already planning out her exit strategy. "Sorry but I haven't had the best luck trusting men lately. You have his name and badge number; you know what he's done and what he plans to do. If you really are one of the few decent cops left in this city then you don't really need any more."

With that Max stood and without looking back quickly exited the hotel. She took the gamble; it was in Gibbons hands now.
