Max gets caught

Laying perfectly still, her body covered in a think layer of dirt and bush, Max blended in almost perfectly with her surroundings. It didn't take long before the once dead warehouse to come alive with activity.

There were at least ten men and women on the outside, two guards, the others helping unload the large trucks parked in the docking bay. The intel was right, they were definitely planning something.

Suddenly Max froze. Her enhanced hearing picking up the sound of a branch snapping behind her. Her arm slowly slid down her leg, hoping she would be able to reach to pistol strapped to it.

Max winced, and her hand stopped moving as she heard the familiar sound of a gun cocking. How could she of been so careless, she berated herself. How did she let herself get caught.

"Hands in front, and slowly get up!" the gruff muffled voice called out from behind her.
