Matthew Ramos : 20, Nerdy, Lanky and Awkward

Matthew woke up to the sound of his alarm on a Saturday. He really wished he could sleep in, but his mother practically demanded that he get up early to help her clean. At least there was the smell of bacon in the air. Groggily he got up and slipped on some pajama pants and a clean shirt. Before he left his room, he felt his phone going off. Usually friends didn't message him til later, if at all. Looking down the message read as follows:

Welcome! To the Role ReWriter Beta! (v 0.354) You’ve been selected to test run the latest app of MetaCorp! With this app, the world around you is malleable, and our patented Quantum Probability AI will fold the fabric of reality around your changes!

This had to be a joke, but as he got out of the message he noticed a strange app on his screen. He tapped the double 'R's and went to a strange screen. The strange options didn't make much sense to him, it seemed he needed a 'subject'.

"Matthew! Come down here now mister! The food is getting cold!"

He could hear his mother beckon him. There wasn't any time to check the app out more. As he left he could hear his father taking a shower, most likely getting ready for an extra shift at work. Coming downstairs his mother was already up, moving around getting plates for him, her husband, and herself. Daniella was lucky enough to have a place with some roommates across town.

As his mother finishes serving food she looked sternly at him.

"Eat, brush your teeth, then come back down so I can finish cleaning this house. You're not spending all day on your games again! You don't have a maid living here!"

After she finished that she went to brew some coffee. Matthew saw this as an opportunity to try out that phone app and see if it were real.
