Mate or Two

"Leave him be Ryez."

Aki said firmly, crouched at a stream and drinking some water to quench her thirst.

"Ride on my back. I can carry you both faster."

Sigurd offered, transforming to free himself from Ryez's grasp. His large wings stretched out and he lay down so Aki could be lifted onto his back by Ryez. Once they were both securely on, the male took off to the skies.

"We will find villages faster this way."

He commented, loving the way the wind ruffled through his wings and fur.

True to his words, within the hour they were already approaching their first tribe. This one having a knack for selling slaves.

"I wonder what the payment is for the caged people..."

"The worthwhile trade of all of the tribes and clans are usually meat and salt. Though the currency is often crystals. They are all different worths as they are in so high demand for the females, males and unaes like to acquire them for when they get accepted as a mate."

Sigurd spoke, circling a few times before landing.

"You don't say."

Aki wondered, sliding off of his back and down onto the ground. She watched him morph back into his human form and then leaned up on the tips of her toes to give him a proper kiss on the lips. Sigurd's face turned near well pink at that and he hugged her lightly, enjoying the attention of his very own mate.

"Go ask for permission to set up a stall for your female. We are going to sell the meat that Ryez brings back."

Aki smirked. She knew that Ryez was easily capable of hunting two or three big creatures within the hour which would supply ample meat to be sold.

"I'll be okay, just come back safely alright? And don't venture too far."

Aki added before kissing her dtrong mate farewell. Aki knew damn well that Ryez would not be happy to leave her alone with just a one striped for protection.... but she had plans to fix that. She was going to snag a mate or two at this village.
