Maria Fuentes

Maria stepped into sickbay of the Potemkin, glad that her vitals weren't being monitored. On the outside, she might have have appeared calm, even bored. Inside, though, her heart was racing a mile a minute. She had just finished her residency, and this was her first ship posting. The sickbay was calm now, but she knew that with the first hint of action, it could quickly become saturated.

A corpsman sitting at the desk at the entrance of sick bay looked up from his work. "May I help you, Lieutenant?"

Maria handed the corpsman her orders. "I was looking for the Chief Medical Officer so I can report to him."

"Her," the corpsman gently corrected. "Commander McCann hasn't reported back on board yet. She's due back any moment, though. You could wait for her in her office. Or go get settled in and come back."
