**Marcus West** (Rookie Speedster) - PL 8

Age: 18, Gender: Male, Height: 5'8", Weight, 180

Marcus was your average everyday highschooler. If by average you meant very attractive, a skilled practitioner of Karata, a member of track and field, and one of the "cool kids", then yes, he was relatively normal.

At least until he got struck by lightning while downtown one day. The thing was that this wasn't a normal lightning bolt.

No, it was a magical lightning bolt. Even more absurd was that the lightning bolt in question wasn't even aimed at him. No!

What happened was that two weird magical people (mages, witches, wizards? Marcus doesn't know WHAT they called themselves) were fighting and Marcus just HAPPENED to be near-by when they were fighting. The lightning bolt that hit Marcus was simply spillover from their dual.

Marcus isn't going to complain though, at least he survived the encounter (and got powers). A lot of other people in the area weren't so lucky.

When Marcus discovered that not only did he survive but that he got powers to boot, he decided he would do what many young people who suddenly get powers would do. Go out and be a Superhero!

Now he just needs a name...
