Chapter 15 by Crazyjacky Crazyjacky

Feeling?

Man and Machine

(Quick note: If you guys see any errors in my writing, let me know and I'll fix it. I don't like leaving flaws in something that could be fixed)

I take a deep breath as my senses return in full, I touch the hard stone and feel the cold. It causes the hairs on my arm to raise, but there was something more. I could feel the **** as if it was a living thing instead of a tool. I stepped out of the monastery and saw few stones so I picked them up. Rolling them around in my hands, I'm not sure if it's even been more than a day since I got these powers, but it feels like I haven't actually touched anything in forever. I than threw one as hard as I could and it flew off into the nearby forest. That felt good, but I than used the **** to hold them in the air, and it felt... calming.

My lord? Are you alright?

Daughter, Yes yes, it's just, nice being able to physically do things. I took it for granted before it seems.

Before what?

Nothing, I suppose I should stop getting distracted anyway.

I don't think I want to let people know my origins as of yet, I'd rather keep some mystery to myself. With that out of my system, I flung the rocks out with the ****, causing them to fly well above the clouds. I gasped... I gasped? Huh, I'm still just as powerful as before, simply with a human body. I should tone it down a bit from now on. Now, I know exactly what I want to do with Mortis, it would be an excellent training grounds, and or private resort if I ever need a break. With how time works in here, I could stay here for years without much changing out there, I'll have to be careful about leaving anyone in here. Or... better yet I could just apply it to myself so time will continue flowing normally without me here. Now's not the time for a break though, I'll bring Mortis back with me and have it orbit Vis, same with the Star Forge.

Maybe I should give Shmi a visit when I return.

Odd. That's all I could think. Somehow it just felt odd, my mind seemed different in this body. Though that was just being illogical, of course it would feel odd to me. After all, this was a completely robotic body housing a... human? god? At least it didn't hurt my head thinking of these things like a normal body would. There was one thing I didn't like though, the lack of... any real senses. Sure I could see and hear, but it just felt off even more than before. Enough, I'll just focus on my mission.

The Rogue Shadow was a brilliant ship which I was able to fully integrate with. It became an extension of my body, was this how most droids felt when they hooked up to something? Probably not, but it was interesting to think about. It didn't matter though, it wouldn't take long to get to Rattatak, there I will head to the Cauldron and find Ventress. Hmm, I could just break in and take her out, but I'd rather not cause too much of a commotion, so a trade or purchase would be better. Only problem is I don't have any currency, while I could perhaps create some, I'd rather not rely on my non-existent powers. Oh well, I'll work with what I have.

It didn't take too long to arrive in the Guter Wade system, Rattatak quickly came into view. Despite how out in the middle of nowhere it was, there were constant stream of ships to and from the planet. It was fairly easy to head down to the planet, following other ships. I quickly received a request for my purpose here and replied with buying a gladiator. I was directed to a large area where many other ships were stationed, likely the audience as a whole. Finding a place to park, it took but a moment to shut down the ship and lock it down before leaving.

A Rattataki servant stood waiting a ways from my ship when they approached me. He carefully looked me up and down and obviously believed I was quite well off due to my ship and appearance. He looked a lot like if a female Dathomirian was male, with the bald head and pale skin. This one in particular looked quite elegant for a servant, possibly even a ****. "Please follow me your lord." He said before turning and walking down between the parked ships. He led me to a hallway which split off in several directions, he took me up a flight of stairs. Likely where those with money to throw around were taken.

Two guards stood before the door which we arrived at, the servant turned to me. "Please leave your weapons here." One of the guards came up to me and so I gave him my blaster. When he waved for the staff, I spoke. "Why would I hand over my payment?" My voice was garbled, as intended to hide whatever or whoever I might be, and it seemed expected by the three staff here. The guarded seemed to squint at my response but made no attempt to take it from me before backing up. The servant bowed to me before opening the door and waved me through.
