Making it Work

They both took a personal day and Jenna slept soundly in Mike’s embrace, but his mind raced and when Jenna awoke he elaborated his thoughts. “Did you mean it? Do you really want a family?” Mike asked and Jenna nodding groaned as she woke up more “yup, I really meant it honey” she said still a little groggy.

“We need counseling... I need it if we’re going to make this work” Mike admitted and Jenna smiled softly “Of course we can do counseling!” She responding hugging Mike. Hours passed finding a counselor they could agree on and the day wained to a close. Mike knew though that tomorrow Jenna would see Liam again “So what about your boss?” Mike timidly asked and Jenna sighed “Look Liam was a tool and I told him that from the get go” Jenna said pulling out her phone she opened her texts with Liam and showed it to Mike.

It was all professional jargon up until Jenna texted Liam minutes after Mike had left on Saturday...

Jenna- The real thing?

Liam- Lol... you serious?

Jenna- Just this once, I know you wanna fuck me, here’s your one chance

Liam- I’ll be there in 20

There was nothing the rest of the day but on Sunday morning they continued...

Liam- Sure there’s nothing I can do to make that happen again??

Jenna- I was serious this was a one time thing, Mike gave me a hall pass and I’m not going to betray his trust.

Liam- Can’t blame me for trying but I understand, he’s a lucky man

Jenna- Thank you for being understanding, oh and do you mind if I take off tomorrow.

Liam- Sure go right ahead, all good?

Jenna- Yeah! And thank you!

That was all there was to their conversation. “I lied about the hall pass to get him to stop pushing. It’s going to be awkward but I really think Liam gets that it’ll never happen again” Jenna said as she saw Mike was done reading.

The next day Mike was at lunch when he got a text from Jenna “you’re the best husband ever, I love you!” Mike smiled and kissed his phone and right then he believed all was going to work out.

Jenna set down her phone on the desk and turned to Liam wearing nothing but Liam’s tie “Ok ready!” She said turning to Liam who easily lifted her up to continue their new work activity.

As she bounced up and down she moaned “You’re not a man! You’re a fucking god!!”
