The Counselor

For Mike the week was like a return to form. Mike could see that Jenna was in a great mood and seemed like she really was trying to set things right. Together they deleted everything off of the online forum and Jenna even tossed her dildos saying “I don’t need them anymore!”

Joyce exchanged greetings with the couple and dove right in “So let’s get to the root of things, why are you two here today, and start at the beginning”

Jenna went into the office and closed the door behind her, sitting down as Joyce finished typing “So you’re seeing Liam still correct?” Joyce asked not even looking up “I’m sorry what?” Jenna said surprised at the upfront observation “I’m not judging and based on your disposition it seems like he’s really doing good for you. I won’t tell Mike of course, but I just ask that you don’t stop sleeping with other men” Joyce said smiling and looking up.

“Whhhaaatt?!” Jenna said even more confused “Listen, I’m here to help people, and you clearly seem to not need any help. I want you to keep on this path, in fact I’ll be helping you even with Mike, he needs to accept that this is a part of you. How often are you seeing Liam?”

“Uh like everyday at work” Jenna said warily “Well how about I schedule you and Mike for private sessions on the weekend. But you don’t need to come to our session, that way you have time to sleep with Liam on the weekends as well.”

Another day with Liam did sound like a good offer “I... I guess so” Joyce stood up and shook Jenna’s hands but slipped her a card in the transaction “Remember this Jenna, your body deserves this, your husband can’t give you what you need, and he knows that. He’s the selfish one here. Now my personal cell is on that card, call me for anything!”

Joyce walked past a still confused Jenna and opened the door “Well thank you so much for coming in, it was a pleasure meeting you both.” She said to Mike. Minutes later Jenna and Mike were in the car driving home “So what did you think? I thought she was great!” Mike said

Jenna was still holding the card and looked at her smiling husband “Yeah I think she is really going to help!” Jenna said grinning
