Make the leap!

You stand on the roof of a downtown skyscraper for a couple hours before the social media alerts you set announce that Wonder Woman has been sighted flying over downtown. You stand up and start scanning the sky until you spot an Amazon-sized dot soaring overhead. It's tough to judge the distance, but it looks like she's going to pass fairly close by. Based on her speed she doesn't seem to be headed anyplace in a huge hurry.

Perfect.

You check your gear one last time, waiting for her to get a little closer, then pick up the gun and fire three shots in the air. (Just blanks.) You resist the urge to look in her direction, but out of the corner of your eye you see her turn in your direction. So far so good. Time for the big step.

Literally.

You open the tequila shooter you had ready and toss down that liquid courage. You take a couple deep breaths and before you can think about it too much, you step forward off the roof.

Almost immediately your hind brain starts screaming Ohshitohshitohshit!! A second later you realize you're screaming that out loud. Your rational brain has frozen up completely and is only now getting to Hey now let’s talk about this…

Instinctively you reach for the ripcord of the small parachute concealed under your coat, and it takes every ounce of willpower you have to not pull it immediately,

You stupidly decided you needed to fall face first so you have a perfect view of the ground rushing up to smash you to pudding. A few people have looked up at the sound of your screaming and are watching horrified, and there's this one dude right underneath you with headphones on who is completely oblivious that you're about to land on him and this was absolutely the dumbest idea you’ve ever had…

And then a pair of strong arms catches you and whisks you sideways, and you find yourself staring down at a pair of perfect legs in familiar red boots. A gentle, compassionate voice says, "It's all right, I have you."

Holy shit, that actually worked!?

But instead of relaxing you start shaking and squirming in her arms like you're absolutely panicking. (Not a ton of acting needed, honestly.) "Ah!! Don't drop me, let go of me, don't let me fall!" you squeak in a voice much higher than normal. You twist around so you can wrap your arms around her waist.

"Don't worry, I won't let you fall," Wonder Woman says in her most reassuring voice, her grip on your body appropriately firm. But not firm enough to keep your hands off her lasso. At the last second, she realizes something is wrong. "What are you...." But she doesn't react in time to stop you from pulling the golden rope tight around her waist.

"Stop," you say quietly but firmly.

You'd been gently descending towards the street below, but at your word she stops and hovers, maybe 30 'off the ground.

"What do you..." Diana starts but you cut her off.

"Take us up. Land on the roof I just jumped off." You hear a few puzzled shouts from below as you abruptly shoot upwards. Your rescuer says nothing as you shoot past all the same windows you passed on your way down, until after a moment she lands gently on the rooftop.
