Make some eggs
Years ago, Ethan learned that cooking while not wearing pants was a bad idea. The resulting burn was a valuable lesson, despite being long faded. Wearing pajama pants, which Ethan doesn't really consider pants, and a t-shirt Ethan gets to making eggs.
Watching them cook, Ethan is reminded of all the breakfasts his grandma made for him at this very stove. Sighing, he tries not to think of her, the wounds still fresh. A few minutes later he's at the table eating, his mind shifting to how his diet has gone downhill the past month. Heather was good in the kitchen, and handled that aspect of Ethan's life for him. Frowning, Ethan decides thinking about her right now isn't much better{if Heather=true}, despite their improving situation{endif}.
Finishing, Ethan scoots back from the table and starts to clean up right away. Doing dishes was something he was actually quite experienced with.
