First, assign a cashier
Make Fortuna the cashier
Fortuna appeared to be happy to be redressed. It might not be as flashy as her old outfit or demand quite the same level of respect, but the red blazer and skirt fit her substantial curves and otherwise svelte form nicely. "I might have to look into dying my hair a new color," she sighed, playing with her long locks using one finger. "Blue stands out like a sore thumb in this garish place."
"Less talk about your fashion, more talk about your new role! You understand it, right?" Robin questioned, eager to see Fortuna stop being her haughty old self and start doing some honest work.
The woman scowled, turning her eyes away and crossing her arms in a show of standoffish behavior. "Of course. I'm very experienced with counting money. You don't have a thing to worry about, assigning me this position," she responded, tapping her finger up and down on her upper arm impatiently. As Robin turned to leave, she bit her lip, then called out to her new boss. "You, Red!"
"You'd better be calling me Redd with two Ds. I'm not your subordinate!"
"... Yes, well... I just wanted to say 'thanks.' You might not believe it, but I am thankful that you gave me a somewhat private position where I don't have to mingle shoulder to shoulder with the scurrilous clientele of this establishment. Not to mention my former soldiers who, let's be honest, are even worse and more likely to get handsy with me. I... appreciate it," she spoke quietly, closing her eyes and trying not to show how difficult it was for her to dish out even one genuine word of thanks.
"Aw! I knew you could be nice!" Robin laughed.
"I-I'll have you know, I've always been a people person! I'm just a bit out of practice from being a hard ass to keep those mercs in line! You'll see-- I'm a natural when it comes to customer interaction!"
It was hard to tell if she was really proud of that or jumping to defense of her actions was just hard-coded into her DNA at this point. Either way, Robin thought Fortuna seemed pretty relieved at the assignment.
