Lyara goes high

From her hiding spot Lyara took in her surroundings and noticed that, while not tall enough to climb over the main gate, the trees around her could get her high enough to drop down on the Ogre and catch him by surprise. Deciding that this was the best course of action she quickly and silently made her way towards a large tree that would get her close to the hulking grey monster. Huffing with relief, Lyara hugged the large trunk bracing herself to begin her climb. One branch at a time she swiftly made her way up the large trunk of the tree, so close to an ideal height to launch her surprise attack.

"SNAP!" Lyara gasped as she hung on for dear life as a branch under her foot snapped off. "SHIT, that was to close." She cried, hanging desperately from the branch above. Taking a minute to arrange her thoughts, the young adventurer steadied herself to continue her climb.

Suddenly she felt something grab around her ankle, it was only now that Lyara realised that her cry of fear must have alerted the same ogre she was trying to catch by surprise. Looking down she confirmed her fears, the hulking grey beast had a hold of her and had a hungry look in it's eye, that sent shivers down her spine.

"NO, GET OFF!" Lyara yelled, kicking at the bulky hand that had a hold of her leg. Unsheathing her sword with one arm and still hanging to a branch with the other, the adventurer slashed at the Ogre causing it to let go of her leg and stager back growling in pained frustration. Seeing this as an opportunity and with her previous plan of surprise in tatters, she boldly jumped from the tree with her sword pointed for the killing blow.

"Gah!" She gasped out in pained surprise, when the ogre reached out and plucked her out of the air like it was nothing, causing the heroine to drop her blade in surprise leaving her dangling in the large creatures grip.

The hungry look in its eyes returning, the hulking creature cracked a menacing grin as it raised the woman up high in its grip, only to slam her back down to the ground. Lyara only had time to let out a winded gasp before her vision went to black.
