Lunch Breaks
Diana sat across from Tony at a deli near their office building, enjoying sandwiches and chatting. She tried not to focus on what had happened the night before as her lover stretched and yawned.
"I haven't had a night like that in a while. I'm out of practice."
"Humble bragging are we," Diana playfully jabbed at him.
"Maybe a little. How was Jack?"
"I think he's discovered something about himself that he didn't expect. It's a rattled him a little because cuckoldry has such a bad reputation, but I think we're approaching it in a way that isn't hurting him. He knows his power and so far he's been ok with releasing it for all of us to have fun."
"Good. Really hoped that I didn't push too hard last night, but I wanted him to see what he's agreed to."
Diana understood Tony's worry. Her husband had seemed fine this morning, but he had been pushed hard the night before. The sight of him kneeling on the floor, spent from multiple releases and panting with desire... Jack had looked so hot in that moment, but if this whole arrangement started to hurt him, she would have to rethink things.
"One more thing. I really should have asked this sooner, but kind of got caught up in the moment. Are you on birth control?"
"Thankfully, yes," Diana laughed. "I don't need another pregnancy scare. I do still want kids, but me and Jack haven't gotten there yet."
After a while, their discussion turned to work and became less fun. Diana felt like she needed a nap, and dreaded going back to work. When they finally parted ways and she made her way back to her department's floor, Mary was waiting for her. Her boss looked her up and down and walked around her for a moment.
"Nothing out of place... You really didn't have a quickie did you?"
"No? Where we supposed to?"
"That's so lame! You have this hot guy at your disposal, and all you do is eat lunch? When does the action start?"
"I had plenty of action last night, thank you."
"Oooh details!"
"Maybe later," Diana laughed at her friend's mischievous smile.
"Probably for the best. I have my own lunch plans, and if I'm late, she'll be really upset."
"Meeting your girlfriend?"
"Not exactly... She and Victor came to and understanding for things going forward, so I'm helping that along. I may be a bit late coming back though."
Diana wished Mary luck and got a laugh in return. She went back to work and settled in. An hour later, a text came in. Mary had reported that she wasn't feeling good and wouldn't be back for the rest of the day. Diana gave a sigh and text back asking what was going on. The return text was a winky face, eggplant emoji, and kitty emoji. Diana shook her head and sent off a text asking for actual details later.
Elsewhere, Jack was feeling frustrated. Reginald had decided to follow him to lunch again. Jack couldn't understand why the older man was suddenly so interested in him. Well, more interested in his wife. Somehow Reginald always ended up steering the conversation towards Diana.
"So how is that whole ex situation going," Reginald said with an odd look in his eye.
"It's fine. We resolved everything. I even had lunch with him not too long ago."
"That's interesting. Not many men would be willing to spend time with someone that's fucked their wife."
Jack couldn't really deny that part. Tony had definitely set off some of his alarm bells with their first meeting, but Diana's honesty and Tony's willingness to do things in a way that made Jack feel comfortable had certainly made things easier. If Diana had found someone else to be her Bull, things might not have gone so smoothly for him.
"I have no control over what happened in their college days, and we're all adults. We should be able to communicate and move forward."
"Do you have control now," asked Reginald with a smirk. "What's Diana doing right this moment? Who is she with?"
"I really don't know, but I trust her."
It was a bit reach for him. Jack did trust Diana, but he really had no idea what she was up to. He knew that Tony had said he would call on her for fun whenever he wanted, and Jack had basically agreed to it. For all he knew, she was skipping work and already at Tony's place. That thought did worry him, but he pushed it aside. Surely she would have text him if she was going to be doing something like that...
"Well I'm glad things are going well for you guys. Just think about it a bit though. This guy came back into her life after years of separation and she had some big reaction to it. Probably something still there. But I'll leave you alone for now. Just think about it. Think about what it could mean for you and her both."
Reginald left Jack sitting alone, his food growing colder as he sat with his thoughts. Jack knew that Reginald was pushing this for a reason, but he didn't understand why. He really wished that the man would stay out of his business, but maybe he needed to discuss some things with Diana and Tony later. Maybe on Monday after Diana had time to rest from whatever plans Tony had for her on Saturday and Sunday...
