Lucy Tells the Truth

"Hey, can I have a word?"

Melanie found Lucy alone in her room, just as she had hoped she would be when she saw Leilani hanging out with Sophie, Abi and a few of the others in the lounge. Lucy was sat cross-legged on her bed, going through some paperwork which no doubt belonged to the TV show.

"Sure, come right in, sit yourself down. Great job at the game earlier by the way, that was some amazing publicity for the show"

"Yeah, that's kind of what I wanted to talk to you about, actually" Melanie sat on the bed opposite her friend "I never really read the TV contract properly. I wanted to take another look"

"I think Van has it" Lucy answered "But if you let me know what your question is I can get you the answer next time I speak to her"

"It was about me always getting picked to be the centre of attention in every promotional event. I don't remember seeing anything when I went through the contract originally that said we didn't get to choose among ourselves which glitches went to which events. I feel like I would have pushed back on something that **** us to go to things we didn't want to if I'd have seen it"

"Right, well like I say I'll double check with Van" Lucy was definitely looking shifty at this point.

"Yeah, you see the problem with that is, I don't think you will, Lucy"

Melanie had unzipped her purse and pulled out her wand.

"Mel, what the fuck is this. You're making me nervous"

"You've got nothing to worry about, Lucy, I just want you to tell the truth!"

Lucy flinched as Mel waved her wand at her friend. She was soon relieved to see that she hadn't changed physically, but something did feel a little off. She just wasn't quite sure what it was.

"Now, are you going to ask Van for me"

"No, I was just stalling you. There's nothing in the contract like that. Glitches get the final say in who does what"

"Ha! Looks like I've mastered the truth spell" Melanie gloated.

"Okay, great job, but I'd be careful, Mel. You might not like everything you hear"

"Such as"

"I have been making the decisions in conjunction with the sponsors. And you were requested for both the talk show and the game today, and I've had more requests for you for other things that are coming up too. I accommodated those requests and withheld from you the fact you could say no because then you would start turning down everything. I have to make the best decisions from the show"

"I genuinely don't understand this Lucy" Melanie seemed completely at a loss "Why always me? There are so many glitches, all of them beautiful. Don't people get bored of seeing me all the fucking time?"

"No"

"Then why not? Explain it to me!"

"Because you're the ENF glitch"

"What? What the fuck does that even mean?"

"ENF. Embarrassed Naked Female. It's a thing. Look it up"

Melanie sat in stunned silence for a moment or two. Even having had this explained truthfully to her she wasn't sure it made any sense.

"Okay, humour me here. Why am I the embarrassed naked female of the group? And why does that mean I get sent on all of the jobs?"

"Because you are still, even after all of this time, highly uncomfortable with being seen naked. It doesn't come at all naturally to you. People find it hot to see you exposed and embarrassed and even humiliated. They get off on it, so they want to put you in those situations as often as possible. That whole football game today was basically one long ENF fantasy. A lot of our sponsors probably get really turned on coming up with these scenarios for you and having the power over you to make you do it."

"What the fuck Lucy?" Mel was sitting open mouthed now "And you are happy to help them humiliate me for the ratings? You're supposed to be my friend"

"I am, but it's not really for the ratings. It's because I find it hot too"

"Lucy?!" Mel gasped "I can't believe what I'm hearing!"

"I'm sorry Mel, I get turned on by ENF and you are the fucking poster girl for it. I mean Sophie, Abi and Chelsea are all a little ENF. That's why people enjoyed Chelsea's showers so much, they knew she didn't want people seeing her naked. But even she has gotten more comfortable in her nudity in the last few days than you have in the whole time since you got yourself cursed"

"This is so fucked up" Melanie's head was spinning at this revelation "I'm letting you know now that I'm not going on any more promo events any time soon. It's someone else's turn"

"Fine, I'll start sharing them out more evenly. And I'll stop putting you in those sort of situations. I love you Mel, I just... Sorry, it's so fucking hot to put you in ENF scenarios, and since everyone was asking for it I kind of didn't stop it"

Mel said nothing but zipped her wand back up into her purse and made to leave.

"Hey, aren't you going to remove the truth spell?" Lucy asked nervously "I've told you everything you wanted to know"

"At some point, when I'm feeling less angry with you I expect I will"

"And in the meantime?" Lucy panicked "Shit Mel, I could be asked anything. I could say some really embarrassing shit!"

"Well then you'll be an ENF won't you?" Mel smirked triumphantly "And our sponsors love those!"
