Which bonus card does Lucy pick?
Lucy 2: Lucy could use a little grace
Lucy thought through her options out loud. Since this was only a bonus card choice, there wasn’t as much strategic discussion from the others as there was for her challenge card.
“Go Fish is probably something where I make you guys draw a new card maybe?” said Lucy, “And Total Turnabout sounds really… Total.”
“A very astute observation!” said Faith sarcastically. She pushed up an imaginary pair of glasses.
“The point is, I’m picking this one,” said Lucy. She pulled her card and the other two sucked back into the board with a SCHWOOP.
“A Grace Period sounds pretty nice,” said Lucy as she started reading the card aloud. “Grace Period. Bonus Card. You dodge fate, avoiding punishment for the moment. But beware, for fate is vengeful and your next punishment will be taken up a level.”
Faith chimed in, “Wow that’s… kinda ominous.”
“If you lose once and then win all your challenges, you’ll never see the downside of skipping that first punishment. Seems pretty powerful,” said the strategically-minded Sophie.
Mia wanted to keep things moving and avoid any more next-door-neighbor-based interrogations, so she picked up the dice and handed them over to Faith who promptly handed them further down the couch to Lucy.
As Faith finished the chain handing of the dice, she realized just how far apart Mia and Lucy were sitting. Faith sat in the middle, and her spread legs were pushing both of them away into the armrests. She was glad no one was standing in front of her and that Sophie seemed a little too far off to the side to see her panties pointed directly at the coffee table.
Faith pushed her legs together with her hands, straightened out her knee length skirt, and then moved both her arms around Lucy and Mia’s shoulders. She pulled them in close, locking her legs together with theirs. The three ladies on the couch sat hip to hip to hip.
The other two were both a bit surprised by this, but didn’t protest or move from their new sardine-like situation on the couch.
Lucy’s heart sank when she remembered that her turn still wasn’t over. The doubles she rolled earlier meant she could still hit another challenge, and could be exposing herself all over again for the next several minutes. She put her game face back on, and prepared for the worst. Up ahead there were several challenge spaces, a single punishment space toward the middle, and a couple events at the far end of her two die range. Lucy hoped for an event, no matter how weird that’d be, so she could avoid the humiliation of another challenge.
Lucy leaned forward, blew on her dice for luck, then rolled.
Faith had her fingers crossed, hoping for a high number so she’d be free of having to tiptoe everywhere.
How does her roll go?
