"So are you worried about the rule," Xander asked Amy.

"Which rule?"

"About how cheerleaders can't put out."

"What was that?" Buffy asked as she came over.

"Xander was talking about the rule that cheerleaders have to put out."

"Oh, that," Buffy said unconcerned.

"I mean, aren't the both of you..."

"And that's were I make my exit," Amy said as she got up and headed down to the floor.

"Well, Buffy?"

"I'm a virgin," she said without concern.

"But I thought cheerleaders had to put out."

Xander almost burst out of his pants when he saw Buffy and Amy's name on the list of cheerleaders.

"Congratulations. Buffy you are first alternate, and Amy you are second alternate. So, where should we do this? Just meet up in the library or head to one of your homes?"

Amy just scoffed at him before stomping off, "What?" Xander asked confused.

"Xand," Buffy began, "The alternates are the ones who didn't make the team."

"So you're saying...?"

"I'm not a cheerleader, sorry," she said as she patted his arm. "I know you were looking forward to taking my virginity. I kind of was to. It would probably have been fun. On the other hand, I am glad, as I would like it to be a special occasion."

"Oh yeah, of course. Actually, I'm most upset about you not making it. I know how much you wanted it. The sex thing, that was just me being a friend. You know, I'm going to go to the bathroom. If you hear an earth shattering No that's just me being killed by a vampire. I'm not upset. No need to come and investigate."

She watched him go, partly sad, but also a little amused by his antics. That felt good given the disappointment she was feeling. Amy came back, with the other girl's who didn't make the cheer-leading squad and those who were successful.

Cordelia stepped forward, "Girls who failed! You know what is coming. Alternates to their underwear, everyone else naked."

What happened next was an annual tradition, or at least that is what everyone thought. The cheerleaders marched through Sunnydale halls announcing their new members. Behind them came first the alternates than the others who had been rejected.

Buffy was glad she was an alternate and that Sunnydale had a strict 'no cameras on cheerleader announcement day'. She wasn't going through nearly as much embarrassment and shame as those behind her. For the most part she could walk unmolested, a few practically brave or popular boys might reach out to take a quick grab of tit or butt, but as an alternate is was still possible she was not a 'girl who failed', so no one wanted to go too far.

The girls behind her got it the worse. The progression had to stop on multiple occasions as a girl got pulled into the crowd and groped. Poor Harmony was listed as a girl who failed, because she had applied, even though she never got to try out. Three times she was pulled into the crowd and given a **** orgasm. It was a cruel practice, but its what you had to go through if you failed to be a cheerleader.
