Look for a new quest.

The Adventurer's Guild is bustling this afternoon. You're greeted by the noise of multiple parties chatting loudly, snacking, drinking, and laughing. This is definitely not the first time you've been here. It's rather simple, really. People from all over put in requests for various tasks, and in return for various rewards. Sometimes they show who they're from, while others are anonymous. When complete, you come back, and talk to one of the staff, which reside in the room over, accessible via windows much like some banks. You've completed two quests, though the second took you straight to the queen herself instead.

People still occasionally look to your party as oddballs, possibly because they're curious how things are working out given the negative reputation your party members have. Though after helping Lady Tesgella, you feel a little bit more confident that people will start respecting you more.

"It's a party in here~!" Niki exclaims as she runs into the room and joins the other adventurers within.

Or maybe not.

You make your way over to the board, but it looks more picked-clean than the previous times you've come. The undead one is gone, much to Amara's distress. She frowns and doesn't even look like she's putting in effort to find another. Niki is completely distracted, so it's only you and Eva actually hunting for a quest to do today.

As you look, a tall figure steps away from one of the windows with a bulging sack of coins. He has baby-smooth skin, pale blue hair that rolls down over his pointed elven ears like a glistening waterfall and down to his shoulders, bright blue eyes to match, and is garbed in slim, golden armour. A decorative but gaudy shield is hooked over his back, and a curved sword is sheathed into an ornate scabbard at his hip. He practically radiates as he walks, and people eye him over intently. Meanwhile, two others follow behind him.

The first is only bout three feet tall, and has short, well-groomed green hair, as well as a curly moustache. He's garbed in a white coat. The other is is a lady with green skin, two sharp teeth protruding up from behind her lower lips, and short pointed ears. Her strong toned body stands even taller than the elf before him, and it's covered in a combination of leather and linen-- just wrapped around her chest, and as baggy trousers that end above her ankles. Though, she also has bandages wrapped around her lower arms and fists.

"Time for another one I would say. Right, crew?" the elf says. He speaks with an abundance of confidence.

"Woah. He's beautiful," Eva mutters.

Amara turns and nods. "Indeed. I have heard of him."

"Oh~? You have heard of me, yes?" he says from behind, causing Amara to jump. "Well, for the rest of you, allow me to educate you on a famous adventurer any others worth their salt should know."

"That is Sir Elyndar Imaeris," Amara interrupts. "He is the second best paladin often seen around here, under Lady Tesgella."

Sir Imaeris slides his hand back through his hair and opens his mouth like he's about to monologue, but it's swiftly stolen by your cleric. He pauses for a moment, tries to hide his look of annoyance, and looks down to your party with a wide, welcoming smile. "The lady does know me indeed. I am Sir Imaeris, though whether or not Lady Tesgella is better than I is completely up for debate."

"Sorry. I'm pretty sure she's done a lot more, and everyone says she's stronger," Niki says as she suddenly walks up with a haunch of half-eaten meat in her hand.

The elf twitches. "Right..."

Eva speaks up. "Oh yes. I think I have heard of him, actually. He has performed some amazing feats as well."

Imaeris lights up again. "That is correct, my lovely bunny," he says with a piercing, sultry stare. He winks.

"Eep." Eva turns away, trying to hide the colour in her face.

"So please back away," he says, and nudges you to the side. He begins looking over the postings on his own, and takes the entire space up for himself. "Nothing quite worth our time so far. Perhaps I should just start preparing for tomorrow's festivities."

Festivities?

"Going to a party?" you ask.

"That is none of your business, but yes. I am. I will bless the great Lady Relestel and her guests with my presence at tomorrow's ball."

"Oh hey. I'm going there too."

He looks at you sceptically. It seems to be the first time he's really given you his actual attention. "Please do not embarrass yourself with such lies."

You hold up the invitation. "My bad. I guess you won't see me there after all." You shrug.

"Hmph. It seems that they really are inviting just any adventurers they can. Has this city truly fallen? Let us depart, crew. There is nothing for us here today. Come."

He struts back towards the door with his party behind him.

I'll see you tomorrow, I guess. Not looking forward to that. For now, I guess I'll continue looking for a quest. I need a good distraction after that.
