Lois Wakes From A Dream To A Nightmare

Her eyes snapped open. Cold sweat beaded her naked body. Lois Lane shivered, head muzzy from her too-brief nap. The memory of the vivid dream haunted her, and the reporter turned in bed to grab her phone. She wanted to capture the details before they faded...

A sickening cramp hit her stomach as she moved and Lois curled up in sudden pain. She tasted bile at the back of her mouth, but worse than that...her heart sped up as her hands touched her stomach, bigger and harder than it should have been.

Lois Lane completed her roll, right off the bed onto her knees. Something rose in her gorge, and the reporter crawled toward the bathroom. She could feel the weight of her abdomen hanging beneath her, not a soft mass of flesh or the bloat that came with a period.

The reporter reached the toilet in time to heave into it. What came out of her mouth was nothing she'd remembered eating. A vibrant black spew that tasted like rancid meat and vinegar. A liquid filth that made her hands shake as they held onto the white porcelain, the smell of burning rubber assaulting her as she hung over the bowl, mouth agape, just to make sure she was done before she climbed back to her feet on shaky legs.

Flush toilet. Glass of water. Swish and spit. Again. Once more, just to get the flavor out. Refill. Drink slowly, but steadily. Lois could feel herself control her breathing, try to get her heart rate down Old survival exercises coming back into her mind. When she could, she stared at the mirror.

Her stomach stood out from her body. Four, maybe five inches. A definite paunch, but hard, not soft like fat. Slightly ovoid in shape, centered just below her belly button. It looked...like something impossible.

She set the glass down. Remembered the thing that had crawled up inside of her. The reporter knew that she lived in a strange world, but knew too that she had to trust her senses.

Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth. Lois told herself. I don't know how, but that giant sperm must have impregnated me. I need help.
