Lois's Birthday Present

Lois and Superman's relationship was... well, strange. She still had no idea who he was. She had theories of course. She was a reporter, of course she had hunches! But no concrete information unfortunately.

This didn't prevent them from developing, some kind of relationship. He obviously cared about her, saving her whenever she got in danger (which was a lot). So there was some distance, but neither of them could deny the spark was there.

That was why Lois' heart raced when Superman arrived on her birthday, with some mysterious 'gift' for her. He handed her a box. Excited, Lois opened it. Her eyes widened in confusion. In the box was some kind of... costume, with a big S on the chest, reminiscent of Superman's. And set upon that was a small vial of liquid that... was glowing?

"What is this? Lois asked, drawing out the vial.

"It's your birthday present." Superman grinned. "Superpowers in a bottle. When you drink that, you'll be like me for a day."

"You mean, I drink this and I have the same powers as you?" Lois asked.

"Just for the day yes." Superman said.

"Oh, bring it on!" Lois exclaimed, excitedly pulling the stopper from the vial and drinking it in one gulp...
