Where to go?
Locker Room
[Monday] [9:45 AM]
As Alice and Rachel reached the pool area, they saw a building labeled "Locker Room" on the other side of the pool. They ran towards it, **** to find a safe place to hide. However, in the chaos of the moment, they were separated from each other.
Alice was running towards the building when she noticed that she had lost sight of Rachel. She hesitated for a moment, torn between finding her friend and seeking safety. In that moment of indecision, she spotted a group of infected from the parking lot, held back by a chain link fence. Realizing that she and the infected were separated by the fence, she quickly barged inside the locker room, closed the door, and leaned against it, trying to catch her breath.
Alone in the dimly lit locker room, Alice's heart pounded in her chest as she struggled to process the events that had just transpired. She couldn't believe that she had gotten separated from Rachel, or that they had just witnessed such unspeakable acts of ****.
Overwhelmed by emotions, Alice collapsed onto the cold, hard floor and buried her face in her hands. She cried uncontrollably, her body shaking with sobs. She tried to call the police, but the line was busy. She dialed her parents' number next, but nobody picked up. She called her older sister Lily, but again, there was no answer.
Feeling utterly hopeless, Alice dialed her older brother Jake's number. She held her breath as the phone rang, praying that he would answer. But the call went straight to voicemail. Defeated, Alice let out a gut-wrenching sob and allowed herself to fully break down.
Between her tears and exhaustion, Alice's eyelids grew heavy. She tried to fight it, but her body betrayed her. Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep, still clutching her phone tightly in her hand.
-OoOoO-
[Monday] [5:58 PM]
Hours later, as the sun began to set, Alice stirred from her fitful slumber. Groggily, she blinked her eyes open and squinted in the dim light of the locker room. Disoriented, she glanced around the room before remembering where she was and what had happened.
Immediately, she reached for her phone to check the time. It read 5:58 PM. She frowned, realizing that she had slept through most of the day. Quickly, she scrolled through her recent calls, her heart skipping a beat when she saw multiple missed calls from Jake.
The first call had come in at 11:21 AM, over six hours ago. Frantically, Alice dialed his number, praying that he would pick up. But it went straight to voicemail, just like before.
Deflated, Alice let out a sigh and rested her head against the cold metal lockers. She couldn't blame Jake for not answering. After all, she had practically disappeared without a trace.
As she sat there, feeling hopeless and alone, she suddenly heard a noise. At first, she dismissed it as her imagination playing tricks on her. But then she heard it again, louder this time. Footsteps.
Adrenaline surged through her veins as she strained her ears, trying to determine where the sound was coming from. Were they infected? Or perhaps it was Rachel, looking for her?
Either way, Alice knew that she had to stay silent. Carefully, she placed her phone on the floor and crawled towards the nearest row of lockers, hiding behind them.
-OoOoO-
[Monday] [8:16 PM]
Hidden behind the lockers, Alice listens intently to the sounds coming from outside the building. Her heart races as she hears the explosion, followed by the shuffling and footsteps of people running. She doesn't know if they're infected or not, but she stays hidden.
Alice waited a few more moments, her heart racing as she listened for any signs of movement. Satisfied that the coast was clear, she slowly emerged from her hiding spot and approached the door. Cautiously, she peeked through the window and scanned the area outside.
The campus was eerily quiet, with no signs of movement anywhere. The explosion she had heard earlier had certainly attracted attention, but it seemed that the infected had either dispersed or moved on.
Taking a deep breath, Alice unlocked the door and stepped outside, her senses on high alert. She glanced around the area, searching for any signs of danger.
