The influx of new recruits to the MV School was well anticipated, as there seemed to be a high ranking member of School giving some practical demonstrations. Maia joined the growing crowd around the expert, as he began twisting his Ri into a mesmerizingly complex helix.

"Understanding the truth of the world necessitates first understanding the simplest of truths; and that smallest truth is something we know as Ri. You are all now traversing the path of truth, and therefore the path of Ri. Truth bends to the will of the wielder, the more it trusts the guiding will the more it can be controlled."

Signing all the paperwork hadn't taken all that long, a rather bored looking middle aged man had helped her through it quickly.

Walking back to her room, Maia's head was still trying to make sense of what she had been told. "Ri was truth? How does that make any sense at all? How can you spin truth?"

Maia rested in her Academy bed for the last time, falling asleep for the night and preparing for the next phase of her life.

Although she had no way of hearing it through the sound proof walls, her next door neighbor was getting vigorously eaten out by one of the hot recruiters that Maia had walked by to watch the MV performer.
